Other than the 'lure' of playing for Madrid, I don't see why Hernandez went with this move. It was never going to be beneficial and I'm sure he could have chose a much better move for his career.
I read something the other day that seemed to indicate that Real had told him/us they would not be activating the buy clause in the loan deal at the end of the season, not that I ever thought they would.
Can see him ending up at Spurs.
They can feck off whether they offer us 20 mil or not.£20 million of they can feck off.

Obviously you never know, he could come in and score the CL winning goal for them, then he and RM will feel it was all worth it, but as it stands it is going exactly as I thought it would be. He was already not going to play much ahead of RM's many attacking players, and now with Jese back even less.
I don't know where he would be a starter as more and more clubs are preferring all round strikers to pure poachers. He won't even get many minutes at Atletico (Simeone likes allround players and usually players who can play more than 1 position, so he would only use him if his team was desperate for a goal in the last few mins) or at Valencia (they already have Alcacer and Negredo).
Maybe Everton? I hope he finds a club where he can play more!
He would be a really good acquisition for Sevilla or a club of similar nature. They will probably end up with a Europa or Champion's League berth next season and don't have the striking options to sustain that in the medium term so the move would really suit him in terms of getting sufficient playing time at a suitable level. Bacca is good but there's really no-one of adequate quality apart from him. Chicharito's play might have declined with his loss of confidence but if that's restored he's quite the lethal finisher and could basically guarantee them 15-20 goals either a starter or a power sub.
That said, I still believe he has a bit of unfinished business left at United provided he's ready to grind it out and accept a largely situation role. If we decline Falcao's permanent buyout clause then there are just 2 quality striker left (one of them regressing and approaching the latter stages of his career) with a talented but inexperienced kid as the alternative. If there are no reinforcements in that department, Hernandez would really help us bridge the long term transition from Van Persie to Wilson or Henriquez (if recalled) and smooth over some of the cracks while bringing a bit of veteran presence into the mix in-case one of our starters is injured.
You would kid yourselves if you think we won't buy a new striker in the case we don't sign Falcao permanently.
He's playing less for them than he was for us right ?
I'm not worried about Spurs. It's just all the years of Levy ripping us off or telling us to feck off has built up a mild hatred for them. I'm sure Hernandez can go some other club (Italy maybe) and still get a first team spot. He's more than good enough.I'd rather watch our players perform well in a side that can guarantee them a first team spot, as long as we get a decent deal. If we are worried about Spurs then there is a serious problem.
Err, Falcao? It was a mistake for him to go to Real on loan. He was never going to get much playing time there. Should have gone to Athletico.
Can we get him back in January? Is his a 6 month long loan. Once the FA Cup starts, we could do with him and Wilson starting the cup games. Rooney, Rvp need to be rested for the league.

Quite possibly a case of a young(ish) player that SHOULDN'T have 'bulked up'There was talk of him going to the MLS
He looked so promising his first season with us, his career has really stalled these last few years.
He's way too good and young to go to the MLS. He'd be a good fit for a team like Valencia or Villareal.
No kidding. I still have great faith in this guy, if he maybe lowered his expectations I don't see how he couldn't get a run in with a side such as Tottenham.
I'd probably have him back and not sign Falcao if we had the choice to be honest, based on what both players have shown for us.
Would you play Hernandez over Kane though? Hernandez is a relatively big name player but I can't see any of the 'bigger' clubs around Europe wanting striker like Hernandez who offers very little other than being in the right place at the right time.
Realistically what's he worth? I've had him down as £12-£15 million but I have my doubts we'll get anything like that.
We very rarely get decent value from selling players that we are "done" with do we. Anything over £10 million and I'll be pleasently surprised.

not popular but i would as well. pace and finishing. and already under contract
