Chicharito Loan Watch | Real Madrid

£16m sounds about right. I wouldn't be against selling him for that.

Going from our bench to Real Madrid's. For the sake of his career he would be better off signing for a club where he would play week in week out. I hope he does well though. One of my favourites due to his loveable character.

he complains about sitting on our bench, yet is now going to sit on Real's bench?

Madrid have one number 9, Benzema. United have four, without even counting Hernandez. Hernandez is likely to get a lot more games at Madrid than he would've at United this year. While Madrid get an impact striker who can deliver on those days when Benzema is inconsistent in front of goal, which happens more often than it should with him. Its a no brainer for both sides. Madrid will probably make back the money on the transfer from shirt sales among Mexican Americans anyway, and Florentino is desperate to crack the U.S. For Madrid the only downside to this deal is that maybe it doesn't work out, and heck since they're likely to buy another big name striker next year they won't care.

I'd lose a lot of respect for him if he went to Madrid. Whinging about not getting game time here to sitting on the bench elsewhere.

RM have been looking for a backup striker all summer, as Morata's replacement. They were looking for a young one but had no luck with that. It now seems to be Hernandez or Negredo (with Soldado as the outsider). I can see Hernandez at Madrid, he'd be a great Plan B sub for them and they have a lot of matches to play.

Only if Monaco drop the price on Falcao (again) are they likely to go for him.

Madrid only have 1 forward (Benzema), the rest of the attacking players are more wing-type-players or "nr 10's". We have 3 forwards who are better than him...

Sad to see him go but can't understand why is he going to madrid to be a backup again.

Also if we're selling him we shouldnt sell Welbeck cause we'll end up with 2 strikers.

Would be a good move for him. Can see him being a good impact sub for Madrid. His time here is done.

couldnt care less where he ends up, if it is Real, Juve, Chivas or Colo Colo, i just want a good fee.

So he's trading the bench United bench for the Real bench? What's the point of that? He's at an age where he must play, he needs to go somewhere where he is first choice, imo.

I reckon Chicharito could work quite well for them. They must surely create 10 times more chances than we do.

More money perhaps?

He'd be second choice and not fourth choice. He'll be in a team with a lot of matches to play. He'll get a lot of respect for "just scoring" because that will be his job description. He'll be in a team that continually gets the ball into the box and that don't have "clinical" finishers - despite having prolific ones.

He's scored some great goals and thank him for being a model pro. Mexicos coach put him under real pressure to leave and that's sad but ultimately, I think the times right. Don't really care who he goes to if it gets us a good price. We can cover his loss. He might surprise people there and i'm sure he'll sell 50,000,00000 shirts in a week or something like that :)

That's a certainty. He'll end up with 15 goals if he goes there.

He'll sell loads of shirts in Mexico. Perez's eyes must have lit up.

I hope he gets the Real move. He'd do well in the Spanish league. He played a big part in a couple of titles and he's a great guy.

But let's be honest, selling shirts in Mexico (and the US) will be very much part of Perez' thinking. Because selling shirts is all that matters as regards transfers...

Manchester United in surprise £16m negotiations with Spanish club, quick deal afoot

If it's ture then let's sell him. 16 million is a great money. We signed him for a cheap price and we are going to sell him about twice of the price. Bargain!!! And his important late goals were also nice contribution. Well spent and well sell price.
If Woodward can do this then I must say he does his job really well.

Chica was a perfect signing for fergie. He epitomized what fergie's team's were all about, scoring goals.I am glad he is getting a move to another big club. Not sure if he will get shitload of playing opportunities but wth, its real madrid!

Sad to see him go, would have preferred him to stay over some of our star forwards, he will be a good buy for them

Madrid will play like 50 games this season with all the trophies they going for this season including the world club cup. He'd get more games there than with us.

The thing with Chico is that he requires a lot of creative players who can feed his movement. We don't create anything for anyone these days, and Chich wouldn't be the one ever to carry an attack.

Wasn't Michael Owen bought to do the same but, despite an impressive scoring record, was shipped off for not contributing enough to their play?
