Chicharito Loan Watch | Real Madrid

I wonder after seeing the performances of him, Cleverly, Young etc. if they've already been told weeks ago they can leave and they just don't care now. It's all just so lazy.

How in hells name can Juventus be interested in him? What do they see in him.

Opposition fans seem to really rate him. Maybe they still think of him as the Hernandez of 2 or 3 years ago because if they'd been watching him week in and week out for the past 18 months they wouldn't rate him.

His general play is absolutely terrible, his touch, his control and his passing are almost pub team level. All he has is his great finishing and in the last year that has regressed too, when he's not scoring he offers absolutely nothing.

Be best for everyone if he is sold in the next 6 days.

I'm surprised how much game time he got. Should be replaced with Wilson from now on.

It was a mistake not to sell him at the beginning of the transfer window, now as his value has dropped significantly I can't see him going.

Devoid of any confidence, skill, technique, care, ability... Don't know what happened to him buthe looked shot tonight. Take 5 million if possible and move on....

Why would we offer Cleverley a new contract with increased wages if we were going to sell him? I don't think any players will be leaving this summer to be honest. Actually, maybe Hernandez at a push, if someone offers us good money for him.

A couple of years back you could see some big European club paying over £20 million for him. He's a shadow of that player, which was never a complete player anyway. Sad to say he might not even fetch Shane Long money.

I know the window isn't closed but I have to say if we wanted to off load certain player's i.e. clev, ando, young etc. we would have already offloaded them. With the recent injuries we have maybe we won't sell as much but I can see us selling a few in January.

Precisely what I was thinking buddy. It would be silly to sell these players without sourcing replacements, especially the midfielders, and at this late stage with the fees we'd have to pay I just can't see the club doing it :/.

Remember when we laughed at Juve for wanting to sign him for 8m euros (?)..they'll probably reduce their offer now

He needs to move on, he's gone completely stale here. Great first season but defenders have got wise to him and he's been found out.

He lost his spot in the national team also. His manager wants him move. He has to move to resurrect his international career and his club career as well because its not working here son. And if he don't get out now, he is going to get worse with his performances and his attitude.

He is what he is and despite showing a few glimpses over the years he never really added much to the build up play and is the main reason why he was dropped for Mexico. He's still been pretty damn effective for us in his time here despite those limitations. This regression started in the Moyes era and has continued on, and the one thing that's been a common theme is us creating very little. Before we could sacrifice his lack of contribution because we knew we'd create chances and there's a good chance he'd get us a goal. Now that's not really the case and it just highlights what he can't do rather than what he is good at.

If we switch tactics and we become a better team capable of creating more than 2 chances a game, I wouldn't write off his usefulness for us just yet. On the other hand if he wants to leave, no ill will and he won't leave us with me thinking that he didn't do alot for United in his time here.

He really should have left a few years ago for the sake of his own career. I don't if it's just age catching up to him but as mentioned above he's lost favor with the Mexican NT as well so maybe he's not as hungry as he was a few years back..

Where did this hatred for Hernandez come from,
I know mate, it's fecking ridiculous. He's clearly checked out because he's off. Everyone was horrendous tonight. The pea is not suited to LVG's system, he is a great goal poacher and an honest player. This place at times:lol:

The signing of RVP was the end for him. He was never going to start ahead of both Rooney and RVP. Hope he moves to a club and gets his scoring better. He would be a perfect fit for Arsenal. We better not strengthen them. Its better to sell him to other league.

Yeah, a great goal poacher who doesn't score goals. He can't get involved in the build-up play without passing the ball to an opposition player and he isn't a good dribbler. Name a top side that just has a goal poacher up front. Bet you can't.

He was a poacher so it makes sense that he was doing well when we as a team were doing well and creating plenty. He never had the all round game though and unfortunately his confidence seems to have been drained in front of goal now too. There was a time you would bet your life on him scoring if he had a chance in the box but not anymore. Needs to be moved on and make way for Wilson.

Very sad if that's the last we ever see of him, he's been a cracking player for us but has just lost his way.

Goal poacher and a honest player?

That's not good enough anymore.

Arsenal fans have been reared on great technical forwards in the likes of Henry and Van Persie ect. in the recent past. I'm not sure Wenger would want Hernandez as an option to be leading the line .

Aye, needs to go, for the best of everyone concerned. Has been shocking and his confidence has gone. I dont think he'll get it back whilst at United.

He's in the box striker. He thrived under Fergie because we would cross the ball a lot which allowed him to utilize his two biggest assets his movement and poacher instincts. In this LVG system he is basically useless.

Well, if he does leave he scored 59 goals in four seasons. That's 3 more than Berbatov.
Would be sad if people remember what he's become now, unhappy and completely devoid of confidence. He's lost his place for his national team, and barely played last season. A move would be ideal for everyone.
It's the same with Valencia. He was also a beast of a player at his best.

He needs to leave to rejuvenate his career. He needs to become a certain starter somewhere.

He's a poacher, plain and simple. His all round game is atrocious. Always has been. Even when he was in top form, he still was pretty dreadful in the build up play. But no-one cared because he'd score goals.

LVG clearly likes to play as a team where players are constantly involved in every phase of the attack. Hernandez has one of the worst first touches I have seen at the club, it's truly pitiful. Can't pass more than 5 yards, can't cross, no vision. All he could ever do was finish, and right now his confidence is so low he can't even do that. Essentially making him useless on the pitch.

He's a nice genuine lad, who by all accounts everyone likes. I wish him well for the future, but he has no place playing for Manchester United. He just isn't rounded enough in my opinion. In my defence, this isn't a knee jerk assessment. I have never been a fan of his play and voiced that from his first season. Which was never a very popular opinion. He scored some good goals for the club and was an asset off the bench under Fergie's system, but for me, he was never going to make the grade as a starter. His goal scoring proficiency masked some deep flaws in his game. Hopefully Wilson will take his place, a prospect which I am delighted about. He's the real deal.

All Hernandez can do now is be a sport and move to Juve as a makeweight in the Vidal deal. Don't care what we get for him, just need him to facilitate that transfer if possible. Sounds like we are using him as a piece of meat but I'm sure the Old Lady will take care of him. People have said, even this summer, that we should get at least 15M for him. Would you pay 15M for him? If United needed a striker would you be happy if the club spent that much on Chicharito? I know I wouldn't. Anything over 10M, incentives based on success and a sell on clause, and we should be biting their hand off. There is no world in which Welbeck should leave the club before Chicharito.

Not to sound cruel but purely from a footballing perspective, hopefully that is the last time we'll see him in a United shirt. My heart genuinely sinks when I see his name on the team sheet. Sorry Little Pea, this isn't coming from a place of hate, just a place of realism. There can be no sentimentality in football.

Why are people just realising his ability as a footballer now?

He has always been quite a poor footballer, it was just his fantastic finishing inside the box. He can only offer a team that, if they are on the front foot and creating chances, if he is asked to play, I'm not being mean but it's like playing with 10. Love him to bits but yeh, I'm glad people are realising that his time is up.

He's been a substitute and a bit part player for a long time. You obviously forget how important he was to our title winning side of 2010/11. Hernandez is low on confidence and needs a run in a team like any striker, he need's a new start. He'd be brilliant if teams whipped balls in to him/supplied good service. The pea is no all round footballer like Rooney or RVP. He's there to tuck away simple chances using his speed and movement. He would be brilliant at Chelsea, Arsenal or any top team in Spain. He can't compensate for weakness or deficiencies in our midfield like others can. It's easy to dismiss and criticize him after tonight, typical.
Sing when your winning eh, when things go wrong we need someone to blame?

I dunno. It makes sense now, but I can swear I had started seeing improvements in his build up play in his second season with us. He even started drifting in wide to create gaps and then put in some decent balls in. But not only has he regressed massively since then, he has lost his x factor in finishing as well. He had that knack of popping up at the right place at the right time and could always be dependent on to put the ball at the back of the net. Very disappointed with his progress at the club.
