I think they're okay to partway with £30 million.

I'm talking about their wage bill for the Champions League, unless they no longer have to keep the same bill compared to this year? The only reason Fab would move there would be for the same reason he'd move to us; for a ton of cash.

I don't see why City is so likely. Unless he has some unyielding passion to play for them.

Manchester United are suffering from not having a manager, a voice, a direction...is all just a guessing game until LVG has had a season and can get his ideas across to the players, fans and media.

For me Fabregas is a great player, but i can see why United wouldn't go for him with Shinji and Mata at the club. But personally, i have no clue how United will play next season so its impossible to know which signings would fit in the formation/tactics.

Don't see why not. He wasn't exactly sentimental when he left Barcelona to join Arsenal so I'm not sure why people expect him to be now.

Couple of the papers saying Arsenal aren't going after him. Who do we believe? The Telegraph or Pete/Alastair?

Accordig to the British tabloids Man Utd, Arsenal and City don't want him. Liverpool?

Poor Cesc. Barca can't get rid fast enough, and everybody is falling over themselves to deny they are in for him.

Chelsea and Liverpool the only big clubs left then. Christ, please not Liverpool.

Do you doubt King Louis?

Doubt? You mis-understood my point.

He hasn't even taken a training session, so i have yet to even begin to make an opinion on him as a Manchester United Manager

After a few months into the season (or when a player actually signs) then i can start to make opinions on the way his team will play, and then which rumours are garbage and which might have some truth in them.

i.e LVG doesn't want Fabregas! i have no prior knowledge to know anything about this link, so i can't get excited about it.

I'm unsure if Cesc would fit the Chelsea system Mourinho is attempting to implement.

Be gas if he joined the scouse.

Barcelona probably regret not accepting our generous offer last summer. With the way things are looking they'll be lucky if they get 25 million for him.

I don't feel sorry for him at all. He could've came here last summer when he was actually wanted.

I read that his first choice is still to stay at Barca but they've made him available. Think it was Sport Witness who said that was what the Catalan papers were saying.

FFS just buy him already
This. I don't buy into "no one wants Cesc" bollocks.
I'm sure there is a queue of teams bidding for his signature.
We'd be fecking mad not to be front of the queue.
I just don't know with us anymore though. You see all these top players become available and join other clubs without us having a sniff. God knows what were look like sept 1st. After the world cup is going to be crazy

Process of elimination.

Arsenal - Might not enter the bidding war as they really don't need him and so the money would be better spent elsewhere.

Chelsea - Mourinho football.

United - No champions league.

City - Would be favourites for the league with him + if they also buy a centre back and left back, they will be seriously challenging in Europe.

That said, if Pellegrini isn't willing to move to a three man midfield then he would be a pointless signing.

I do think United need to act swiftly, for instance, Vidal would be better suited to the number 8 position so we should make a decision on whether we're going to pursue him for £50m or not. I've read many times Conte wants to move to 4-4-2 therefore with Marchisio and Pogba in the centre, they can invest that money into the flanks and striker position.

Should we fail in the pursuit of Vidal then Fabregas makes sense to pursue, but he could be taken within the next two weeks so we need to make that decision now.

Unless Mourinho wants to flog Oscar to PSG then Liverpool out of all the PL clubs seems most likely. I doubt Mourinho would want him Cesc playing in the double pivot.

Of course teams are interested. Nobody wants to show their hand first in public though and get a bidding war started. They will all be keen for low key enquires and to be kept updated on his situation. In sure as soon as someone makes a bid first l, it'll be blown wide open in the public and a game of financial chicken will ensue.
