Well that remains to be seen.

Maybe he wants to join his good friend, Robin van Cuntface.

;)
I wonder what they'll call Cesc once he decides to join City/United. JVP was a stroke of genius as was Mancunting United.

Arsenal fans. Wow. Such genius, such intelligence.

Marca article:

Cesc Fàbregas looks set to return to the Premier League. Manchester United and Chelsea intend to sign him for next season and the manoeuvring has already begun. United are willing to pay him wages of 6 million after tax per season and submit an offer to Barcelona in the region of 40 million to convince the 'Azulgranas' to sell their midfielder.

The Spanish international began hinting at an exit towards the end of the season after being subject to unmerited jeering from the fans. It was not the first time it had happened, but it took a serious toll on the player.

Darren Dein, the player's agent, has been in touch with the top dogs from the Premier League - Cesc's preferred destination - in recent weeks to sound out their interest. They have all pricked up their ears, because the player is considered quite a prize in England.

The first ones to grab the bone were Manchester United, who are offering him a contract which would see him bag 6 million after tax per year. Cesc is currently on slightly under 5 million at Barcelona.

Chelsea are also interested. Mourinho knows that the player is on the market, but is not willing to part with the same sort of wages as United are. The London club would not be prepared to go any higher than 5 million net per season.

Piers morgan calls him van pursestrings which is kinda funny.

The more I consider this, the less I want us to re-sign him. Pete will kill me for this.

Basically, taking the blinkers off, Cesc was the captain of Wenger's least likeable Arsenal side. He's clearly a top class player, but something about that 2011 period really leaves me cold. We had a fair proportion of unpopular players and I never really felt in tune with that team and their successes and/or failures. There was always something missing from it.

Contrast that side with the current one. A British core, a huge number of great guys within the team. How can you not support a side with Mertesacker, Ramsey and Wilshere in it? Very easily, I'm sure I'll be told.

There's something in this new era. It's finally broken the trophy drought(TM) and there's a real connection between fans and players that I personally don't believe existed in the era of Cesc's captaincy.

When I actually consider Arsenal with Fabregas back, it just leaves me a bit cold. Maybe he'd come back, be brilliant and we'd sweep to a league title and we'd all love it. I just don't feel as if we would though. We've built a side that doesn't centre around one player. We've built a side whose primary strength is cohesion and team spirit.

I'm just not sure.

Surely you recognise that Wilshere is quite an unlikeable chap outside of your fans.

Yeah, would have been even funnier if it was true. Still can't believe that money was touted as his main motivation

He got a substantial increase at united but turned more money down at City.

It's blinkered Arsenal fans for you. Guy at my work wouldn't accept he'd left for trophies! Thank goodness we got that league or he'd have never heard the end of it.

Fine. Thanks for taking that incredibly minor detail out of my post.

Fabregas was an absolute don in his last year or 2.

I remember you struggling at home to Villa or someone, he came on as sub, 20mins later came off, having scored 2 goals.
And countless assists to Van Persie.

I'd take him over any of your current players, but then you do have other needs.

We have the most glaring need of all time in centre mid, so if he goes anywhere but to you down to his Love for the club, i'll be gutted. City would be the most disastrous zone

We probably wont get him but I wonder what would Arsenal fans here say if we would get him..

In any case if they go on like this they will get boring like Liverpool ones which jump on every thread just to start the talk about Liverpool whatever the theme is.

Why would Arsenal want him, though? They're overloaded in creative midfield, and they spent 42m on Ozil only a year ago.

He's a proper Arsenal player. Bottling it at the business end of season.

We'd be mental not to go in for him again. Hopefully Arsenal decide they don't need him, and surely us going for him last summer gives us a slight edge with regards to any other clubs chasing him because it shows we've been interested for a while. Cesc said himself he was flattered.

If we do get him, I just hope he's still got it. Haven't seen much of late but barca fans so wanting to see him leave does make you wonder whether he's lost something.

Many Barca fans (forums) are saying that a club would be crazy to pay more than 30 mil for him.

Thank goodness United will not be wasting their money on this guy.

He doesn't fit in Barca's system -> he's playing bad -> Barca fas want him out.

If he comes back to an English club he will reborn i think. This is the league for him.

Signing him would be a huge mistake.
All I ever see you do on here is downplay every potential United signing and dismiss it as something not needed.

Are United allowed to sign players or are we exempt from that? Signing players probably doesn't constitute as the 'United way' in your eyes.

Signing realistic targets is what I like to see. It is actually what van Gaal is about also.

The target list comprised by the media was laughable. Only a muppet would believe it or consider it possible.
