The question for him may be who has a better chance of winning the league next season - do Arsenal actually have a better chance than United? Consider that he would walk into our team with little competition (not the case at other clubs) filling in our biggest problem area to then play behind Rooney and Van Persie.
I still think he'll go to Arsenal, it's like if Ronaldo became available. Wenger would make space and can always get rid of Arteta, Rosicky, and that Swedish bloke they signed. He also would not want Fabregas playing elsewhere when he wants to challenge for the title though I concede the Van Persie saga shows the opposite but maybe he's learnt from that given that it 'gave' us the league.
