Champions League Semi Finals (9th - 17th May)

Elaborate please? Or you are Einstein so you dont need education. Typicall example of delusional guy who thinks hes smart, but its just opposite. Buying empty land with low value, invest for urbanizing of area with trening center and other buildings, make of empty land urbanized area with high value then sell it, thats state ran? Please dont throw your head in mud without knowledge, its just common like you said, common like your education on this theze is based on daily mail reports
Just like that PSG fan here who want to go against everyone here, saying PSG isnt milked with sister companys and sponsors.
The sarcasm is ripe with this one Obi Wan.

Let's start by asking how Perez became as powerful as he ended up becoming. He started his construction company by being bankrolled by 2 families who were instrumental in over throwing the Spanish Republic which brought Franco into power. That alone shows in what circles he was moving in but if you want a bit more we can talk about how he sold Madrids training ground for well over the odds to the Spanish government and just to run salt into the wounds his construction company was given the contract to then carry out the building of the 4 financial towers earning him many more millions.

The list goes on from acquiring all the main infrastructure contracts such as motorways, airports and trains from the government to basically getting very low interest loans from Caja Madrid to pay for Ronaldo at a time when the banks closed off all loans due to the heavy recession.

I don't need to read the daily mail to be knowledgeable on how Perez got to where he is and how he got there.

Looking forward to more snarky comments on how I don't have a clue.

They had some crazy luck with the KO draw. Just compare the top vs bottom. Italian teams literally got the easiest teams.

They wouldn't even make it to the semi's if they were put up with some of those teams
That lower bracket is really something else. Almost every top bracket team would be a favourite against the bottom one.

In March, the government sent information on the private buyers: the construction company OHL, the oil company Repsol YPF, Mutua Automovilística de Madrid and the real estate company Sacyr Vallehermoso. And in June the Spanish government sent supplementary information to clarify the status of the buyers.

The Commission's then competition spokesman, Tilman Luder, announced that if it was confirmed they were all private, "there would be no need to investigate possible state aid" and the case would be closed, as has finally happened.

Whichever of them gets to the final, they'll be up there with the lowest quality finalists we've seen.

Maybe. The difference between the draws isn't that big... City played Leipzig and a very unstable Bayern at the time, is that really so much superior to beating Spurs and Napoli ?

Madrid got here, knocking out two mediocre PL teams (Chelsea and Pool) and before that they had a group almost weaker than Europa League. Compare it to Inter, they had to eliminate Barcelona just to get out of the GS and then navigated the 2 portuguese sides (Not convinced Pool or Chelsea of this season are really that much tougher than Benfica or Porto). Of the 4 teams I'd say City had the slightly toughest route, and the other 3 had comparable routes (once the GS are included)... But if UpaMaguire hadn't eliminated Bayern we'd have to agree they'd be the most impressive smeifinalist for a very long time. Bayern had a tough group and a very tough Ro16... And still won 8 of 8...

But we can agree that neither Milan, nor Inter stands a real chance against City in the final. (I believe Madrid would be a more open final... They have too many weaknesses, you can't exclude surprises)

I know,
the draw arranged a CL-level bracket vs an EL-level bracket.

Said that,
forza Inter!

Partially disagree with everyone who criticize the brackets. No doubt Milan and Inter were lucky to avouid Bayern, City and Madrid in the KO stage but the low bracket is like that because several top clubs flopped in the group stage:

- Liverpool finished 2nd behind Napoli.
- Barcelona 3rd and eliminated from Inter
- PSG finished 2nd in the Benfica group
- Atletico dead last in a group containing Porto and Brugge

If those top clubs didn't suck then in the Ro16 we could have easily seen PSG v Napoli, Tottenham v Barcelona and Atletico v Liverpool.
The reality is that beside Bayern, City and Madrid all the other "top clubs" this season were shit in the Champions League and couldn't manage to defeat the likes of Inter, Benfica, Napoli, Porto and Milan.
Seeing scousers, culè and parisiens crying make me laugh, don't worry next summer you'll spend another €200m in the market and maybe next season you'll be able to defeat some 2nd-tier club that have half of your revenues

Do away goals count half or quadruple if both teams share the same stadium?
Inter's usual locker room is locked tonight. And they have to use the away locker room... So technically they are playing away.

Former Manchester United players Matteo Darmian and Mkhitaryan
Former Chelsea players Tomori and Giroud
Former Manchester City players Dzeko and Brahim Diaz

Will start in the UCL semifinal tonight. Rafael Leao and Milan Skriniar injuried so unavailable.

Interest duel also in goals, both Maignan and Onana are having a great season and I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the Premier League next season
which Prem sides are after Maignan?

which Prem sides are after Maignan?

No one at the moment I guess.
I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the Premier League as they're both very good, Premier League clubs are very rich and italian clubs are all broke and need money.
Onana for sure won't play for United because of Ten Hag but I wouldn't be surprised to see him at Chelsea and Maignan at Old Trafford next summer.

Dzeko ahead of Lukaku?

Dzeko's been better for good part of the season, but he's been poor scoring wise in past few months, which is understandable considering he is fecking 37, but it's quite amazing that he is starter in CL semifinals.

Reading the article you don't think this is a little suspicious?

You obviously speak Spanish but for those who don't a quick recap says.

The community of Madrid, the city Council and Real Madrid came to an agreement in reclassifying the grounds where previously it was impossible to build habitable structures but was then made possible.

Anyone who has lived in Spain for a number of years knows these decisions are almost impossible to be reversed unless they have friends in very high places.

Who do we want to win here? As in, which of these two teams would put up the best fight against City?

We want Madrid to do Madrid things. Neither of these two will trouble City or Madrid so we need a Madrid special.

Turned in to see if someone gets hit with a flare. Neither of these teams have a chance in the final.

Champions League nights just aren’t the same with these crap commentators. So much better with Tyldesley and Moore back in the day.

To those who have a clue; who's got the better chance of Milan and Inter at stopping City in a final

Game is going to explode from here then

And damn but this city's fans really know how to bring it on big CL nights. It's a crime these clubs spent the last decade being irrelevant. Especially Milan
