Champions League Semi Finals (9th - 17th May)

I think Madrid will be boosted by the flatness of the emptyhad

Still see city getting through though, unfortunately

How does Rodri never get booked? He must do at least 12 professional fouls per game. Could still go either way but gotta fancy city now.

It's not over for Madrid at all. Should have won this game, but they can still beat City. I still fancy them to do it.

If there’s one player in the world I could have at Chelsea it would be Vini. I’d give up our entire squad, literally everyone, to have him. Scary, scary player.
He's done that thing where he's put together his repertoire to be effective rather than showy. Case in point, he rolls Walker inside, drops the should and takes him out the game but he knows now that Camavinga is now in the left channel without Walker so he releases a quick pass and they get a chance.

This is the poorest game I've seen from City in a while.

I think they were this bad also against United in Old Trafford this season.
Eh? They played Real Madrid away, not Stoke, and got a draw after being one down.

I'd say it's a good result for them. Now Madrid basically threw la Liga so they'll rest their players for the second leg while Man City have to win against Everton. Therein lies their challenge.

Vinicius is special, what a talent. Not just his dribbling but his decision making is good too

Madrid are the only team of any worth in Europe though, compared to England which have had 4 different teams appear in the final in last 4 years.
Bayern, when in form are a great team.
Good thing City needs to play Everton who needs to win, they both need to, Real can play U17 team in La Liga.
La Liga doesn’t allow that. At least 7 profesional players need to be on the pitch at all times.
Barca almost broke that rule last season when we lost 16 players due to injuries and Covid.

Why didnt Pep sub anyone. He always seems to feel the need to be special in these stages of the competition.

Having said that, I hope City smash Real at home.
I think he played for the draw and absolutely wanted to keep the result no matter what. So no change that could affect the team's balance.

I think Madrid have better players than City. I fancy them to go through. That said, if Man City play at a high tempo they’ll cause Madrid problems, but I don’t think that they’ll able to sustain the at over an entire game.

Away goals actually count triple now.

This does not seem a bad result. Rudiger excellent. Maybe I would have made the substitutions a bit earlier.
Camavinga played well as usual but it's not the first time that he cost us a goal with those passes or losing the ball

Trouble is, he went backwards and did eff all with the ball.
He was by the touchline with multiple opponents coming at him covering most angles. It was fair to try getting out of it and keeping possession by going over them. But not according to redcafe where supporting our players isn't really a thing. I seriously doubt that the opinion would've changed if he had just gone forward instead of backwards.

Both teams will be happy enough with that draw and both teams will be confident they can win next week to progress. It is a coin flip honestly.

We've seen replays on the french TV, it's absolutely IMPOSSIBLE do tell if the ball is out of bounds or not before City's goal.

He’s like Neymar but likeable

He's nothing like Neymar, far less talented but seems for more serious and hardworking.

Let's hope Everton can take advantage then. Guardiola would have some massive balls to start the u-15s considering how close the title race still is
I personally think that these treble talks are a stretch and don't see them do it.

You're more than able to win against them if you feel like it in the FA Cup and Arsenal just don't want to give up. Imo, Pep will prioritize first and foremost the Champions League, the league coming in second place. No matter what he says, failing to win it after all these years, often due to his own overthinking, must weigh on him.
