Champions League Semi Finals (9th - 17th May)

I actually missed the first two minutes but either way Carvajal has made a lot of fouls so it's insane he hasn't been booked at all

Carvajal should have been booked To be fair, but as long as he’s winding Grealish up I’m comfortable with it not happening.

City seem scared to press Real Madrid.

What a goal that would have been from Stoke!

Cant help but think Mahrez will make an impact for city if / when he comes on

Also did I misread that Scott carson is on city's bench?

fecking hell this Madrid move... And they are probably the less technically proficient team on the pitch.

That’s Reals planning for you, and actually spending less than us since Fergies retirement. We don’t have the foresight to plan like that, we already need to think about Casemiros replacement despite only just signing him.
They're a well oiled machine (most of the time) and look abroad, especially in South America. Aide from their incredible pull, they also have a president who, despite some blunders, wants the best for his club and knows how to get it.

The strength of Courtois’ right hand

Yeah, I don't think we are around Real Madrid's level at the moment.

Madrid's xG was 0.06 in this half  They had one shot.

That's efficiency for you.

That's a real limitation of xG though, generously assuming that I understand it correctly. Madrid carved up a few very threatening situations, but something like Dias' great interception to deny them a tap-in won't be reflected in the xG.
