Champions League Semi Finals (24th April - 2nd May)

You seem like a decent fella.... I still hope your lot get absolutely twatted in the final, but I'll also hope you win £50 on a scratch card on the same day; because I'm magnanimous like that ;)

I suppose MUFC fans would have exchanged the emotional wringer from the dire stuff v Seville. But I felt for Bayern and tonight I felt for Roma.

Also: I hope that Irish Pool supporter injured by thugs gets back to full health, and is able to enjoy the CL Final.

Don’t disagree with that, yeah. Still I think we deserve to be in the final tbh, you can only beat what’s in front of you and even if we got lucky sometimes, so did Madrid for example.

Just said to my Liverpool fan mate that you probably just about deserved to win that over two legs (not saying much because of how bad they were for most of it). I take it back already though thinking about it. By the rulebook, you wouldn't have gone through, assuming Roma would've scored the pen that should've been given, and with the handball on the line. I can't say that's deserved at all.

RTE showing DJeko pen. Not offside. Should be peno and sending off keeper. Later Arnold handled, stopping a goal. RTÉ panel saying that also definitely a peno; I am less adamant about this. But if these two went in, Pool are in deep shit. Really poor by the ref.

Wrong reasoning for me because the game might not have panned out the way it did. You can’t just add all the wrong decisions to the final scoreline and assume that’s the fair result. Counter-argument: if the Mane penalty is given in the first half it’s 1-3 and the game is well and truly done but that’s not how it works for me.

Wow, really.

That was my reaction too! "Wow, really"?

Sounds nice actually. Chris Smalling wouldn't be impressed.
Smalling? I don't follow.

It's an okay dish, not great.

Wonder why the whole city's inhabitants were called after one type of food though (and a Norwegian one at that).

The scoreline really flattered Roma - feck knows how they managed to get 4 goals. Fantastic achievement from the team to get this far - huge challenge against Madrid now.

It will be straight forward, you can quote me on that.

If you somehow go out, I'll donate GBP100 to a charity of your choice.

Well...

All this about the blatant pens that Roma weren't given but I suppose the shove on mane in the first half was never a pen either?

Liverpool vs Real Madrid - champions league final. It has a nice ring to it :D

One thing for sure, it’s going to be a goal fest.

3-2 to the mighty reds!

Well...
It was comfortable enough at the end, no?

Yeah, no. Liverpool needed serious luck tonight to win the tie. The ref missed a couple of easy decisions against you lot that would have put Roma well ahead on aggregate, even if you got the early penalty.

Between the refs and the pairing during all competition, one starts to rethink if Liverpool really adulterated the competition.

True, but going off what we could see I'd say Roma would've won. Genuinely didn't see the Mane incident. Must've been while I was fecking about with my stream. If it's a shove though then it sounds like it's up for argument, whereas the others are cut and dry.

Poor performance in all but glad we're through. Important to get over the line.

Missed a couple of easy decisions? You mean like the early penalty that Mane should have had, and the stonewall red card challenge on him later in the game? Or when Salah was pulled back one v one despite being onside? Add in the fact Rome were given two penalties for handballs that weren't.

We weren't great today but we were definitely, clearly the better team over two legs.

At any point when the tie was live Roma were an embarrassment over the 2 legs.

I've mentioned that early penalty that wasn't given for you. Even if you'd scored that, Karius should have given away a penalty, and Rome were denied a couple other penalties that could have easily been given. You seriously think the Klavan handball wasn't a penalty?

That's beside the point. Some of the goals conceded were abysmal but at the same time Liverpool got decisions in their favour tonight which could have swung the tie the other way if the ref had been more alert. It's a moot point now, Liverpool did well to reach the final. Don't think they'll get the rub of the green against the CL GOAT team though:)

It turns out we shouldn't have laughed at them for celebrating the last minute draw at Anfield, as it was all a part of their cunning plan all along

2 years ago others laughed at us for celebrating a last minute equaliser against West Brom. What they didn’t understand is that the team and fans knew it was the start of something special. Tonight we celebrate a UCL final in Rome. Believers
