Champions League Semi Finals (24th April - 2nd May)

My god, Roma could have won this game 7-2, frustrating stuff. They will be very disappointed that they GIFTED Liverpool those two goals today.

If we defend like that against Madrid we will need to score at least 5 to win.

The game didn't feel like a CL semi final. Poor quality.

Same as Bayern Madrid first leg. The real final was yesterday. Madrid should paste these lot though. Liverpool could be a threat though if Salah turns up.

Awful performance but I’ll take that.

Was never ever a penalty though, how does he give that and not the Alexander-Arnold one.

Very very lucky for you that he didn't as it'd have been a very hairy final 25 minutes with ten men for your lot and a man out of the final if you'd still got there.

Can count yourselves a bit fortunate tonight. Awful second half performance nearly cost you a final.

We should’ve gotten one way before that so not sure what you’re getting at.
Amazing how they conveniently forget that incident.

And how the feck is the TAA incident a red card?

Valiant effort by Roma but they really fecked up defensively. If they had gone with the right tactics in the 1st leg they would've won easily. Liverpool were 5-2 and still nearly fecked up. Real have nothing to worry about. It will be the most one sided final of all time. Despite their problems they will not be as naive as Roma were and their superior experience will tell for sure.

They won by a goal while having two goals that shouldn't have stood, two penalties wrongly not given against them and a player not sent off when he should have been.

As awful as Roma were and are.. they got robbed.
Milner handball was not a pen in 1st leg.. Right?

Madrid have a much more potent attack than Roma. Just saying.

And how many times will refs help Liverpool? Roma were denied a clear pen with 25 min to go.

Well, Roma put a good fight at the end at least. One more goal and it would have been extra time.

This Liverpool side will never defeat Madrid.

Roma just didn't have the class to do that, though they were really unlucky decision-wise in the end over the 2 legs! Liverpool's opener at Anfiend shouldn't have stood (2 fouls in the lead-up), another was offside. 2 pen calls today not given.

how could it be a red when it was called offside? how many ifs and whens are needed?

And if Karius had been sent off and they'd gotten the two they should have had? I'd say we'd be gearing up for extra time now.
There’s no way of telling if they’d have gotten the second pen if the first one was called. The decision for the second pen wasn’t even the right one.

Life events do not work out the way you think.

That wasn’t a penalty but before Roma had 2 penalties not called by the ref.

Liverpool were denied the first penalty for Mane after 10 minutes. They refs are awful. At least this crew spread around the BS, unlike in the Bayern/Madrid tie.

Final will be tasty. Pool's front 3 will be deadly but they do tire out of after like 65 mins, and Madrid have quality all over so will be very interesting to see how it lines up. On paper I'd say Madrid were the slight favourites but this Liverpool team on their day can be very very good.

Imagine Gormless Henderson lifting the European Cup.

On Liverpool's 2nd goal it was a clear foul by VvD, also a clear handball denied a Roma goal half an hour ago... it's hypothetical but it could've been 5-1 if those two decisions were called correctly, but I doubt anyone would mention it, same shit happened in Pool's game vs. City, but you rarely see anyone mention these calls, yet half of that happens for Madrid (or a right decision in Oliver's case) and the whole world is on fire.

Honestly if the result was 5 - 2 which it ought to have been, and went to penos, and - well then whoever won I would have congratulated. Even Pool.

Well at the very least.

That should calm down some of the hysterical over hyping of this Liverpool side.

They have a great front 3, but the rest of their team is shite.

This.

Salah/Fermino were anonymous tonight. . . Probably hard to gauge considering Liverpool had such a lead. . . But jeez. . . How can Ronaldo, Benzema, Asensio, Modric, Kroos, Ramos . . not cause problems for Liverpool?

Thank feck for that! Dont half make it hard for our selves. Just haven't got the players in the squad to see out a lead in dying minutes. Klavan, Solanke, Ings, etc conceding eveytime they're brought on replacing our attackers. Shown in last few games now.

Also Real have people on the bench to freshen it up if needed.

Roma robbed? Come on, Liverpool switched off at 50 in the first leg and at 2-1 tonight. Roma may have saved some pride but they were never in the tie, totally flattered by the final score.

I really am missing something with this Liverpool loving for their front 3. Madrid should stream roller them. Look at what Madrid got through for the final compared to Liverpool.

Real Madrid actually have decent defenders (albeit a shit keeper) they should be odds on favourites

They were one penalty call away from going to extra time.

That first leg performance (specifically 33 minutes) cost them dearly. So naive.
