Champions League Round of 16 (15th Feb - 16th Mar)

Bayern, City, Chelsea, Liverpool i think are the guaranteed progressions to next round. Over 2 legs especially.

We drew the hardest teams we could draw. Why do City get easy fixtures every time they're in a draw? They have insane luck.
Haha yeah "luck", them and Chelsea are so "lucky".

Wonder how "lucky" you must be to get Lille....twice

I really hope they have to do it again

Perhaps this time City and Chelsea may actually get a tricky opponent?! No of course they won't their luck in draws is incredible and could use investigating as it's not just in the CL look at their FA Cup runs.
So to clarify, you don't think Atletico is a tricky opponent?

This is bullshite i am so angry

This was a practice draw!!!! Do it again you scummy bastids!!!

But we have Atletico’s kryptonite (Ronaldo) so all well.
True, he is our most inform scorer at the moment!
High-press is our biggest counter by a mile, or at least it was under Solskjaer, our players flap under any pressure in our half.
Also true but I just think that they won't press our back line, I think they'll sit in and counter, which we also struggle with.

There was a 1/16 (6.25%) chance that Chelsea would get Lille twice in both draws, based on the fact that in each draw there was only one team from a possible 4 teams that they could face.

Roman’s brown envelope significantly increased the chances of them drawing Lille again though.

Be hilarious for someone who saw we get PSG this morning, and completely missed the news of the re-draw and suddenly later on tonight they see Atletico’s name next to us.

I think we have enough to beat them. They aren’t the same force. A lot of shithousery, but not the same. I think clutch Ronnie will get us through.

There was zero chance Chelsea could get anywhere but Lille. They could have made the draw 80 times and they would have got Lille every single time.

By February our players will have gotten used to Rangnick's tactics, Varane and Pogba will probably be back, might even have a midfielder added. We also have Ronaldo, who always shows up in the KO stages. No away goals rule means that Atletico can't go for the 0-0 at home and 1-1 away strategy. Both games will be utterly infuriating with the diving and crying to refs but they are a much better team to face then PSG.

True, Atletico is an incredibly annoying side, even when you beat them.

Happy with that, a tough draw but better than PSG.
Chelsea the lucky bastards

Madrid though

As some said, ATM is the second worst draw for us.

But, generally, this draw is bad for Manchester United: Bayern, City, Liverpool and Chelsea are favorites and either Real or PSG will be in the QF. Therefore, barring big surprises, 5 of those 6 teams will be there in case we qualify. It's going to be very difficult for United to have a run.

It's a shit draw, and the only slight positive is that it's slightly less shit than facing PSG and the whole Messi v Ronaldo build up.

We had a 50% chance of getting a very good draw, 33% chance of a bloody tough draw, with Inter somewhere in the middle. Drawing either of the tough teams is a bugger (drawing both, a joke). It's tough to cling to the one positive that 'at least it's not PSG' but that's all I've got.

Real fans not happy

******** UEFA, honestly. Bring on the Super League, just include promotions and relegations instead of having the same teams every year and we're all good.
Hope Florentino gets the lawyers involved, our draw against Benfica should have stood, it was perfectly legitimate, it was drawn BEFORE any mistake was made. Why should we be the only team to pay for UEFA's incompetency ? Sue them to hell.
So, when can we file a complaint to get another draw ? If Atletico can, then so should we, right ?

Easy draws for Bayern, City and Chelsea. Inter-Liverpool is more interesting but think Liverpool are too good for Inter so should progress. PSG-Real is most interesting draw definitely, it's a test for Pochettino though he has a better team.

Drawing Atletico is not ideal but better than PSG imo.

Vini> Mbappe
Benzema>Messi

Why are you worried?

Not worried so much as pissed off because we originally were supposed to play Benfica, that was the deal!

Also, Mbappé terrifies me, and frankly i don't trust Ancelotti at all, i think we'll be outrun and outhustled in midfield and oh yeah, they have Kylian fecking Mbappé

Just give him a round of applause when he scores at the Bernabau and that will secure the transfer in the summer.
