Milan's first appearance in the semi's since 2007.
Hmm, well I have hope there’ll be flares, insulting Italian banners, brexit tackles etc.I'm going back quite a while but I remember when I was growing up there was a Milan inter semi final in 2003, and it was pretty shit iirc, then the worst ever final with milan-juve and that was back when the teams were actually good
How far down is it?
Why? They're 4th and 5th in serie a and would be 5th and 6th without juventus' points deduction, would be much better having two teams that might actually be capable of beating city being there
I hear Lampard's about to throw a striker on now.

Yeah but stranger things have happened. Wouldn't put it past Bayern to score a couple at home.
Agreed. I was being a bit facetious there. It's a bit overstated in my opinion. Sure Real have the biggest pull for South Americans in particular, but they are also one of the only big clubs that really pursues these players and are willing to pay big fees for them. They don't often pay big fees for "proven" players unless it's a true super star type, but they have no problem paying for Tchoumeini/Camavinga/Vinicius/ Endrick etc.
Meanwhile we'd rather shell out 80m for Maguire because he has PL experience, or Antony after a good Ajax season when we could have gotten him from Brazil for a less than a quarter of the fee just a couple of years before.
If Milan win the CL, Zlatan gets a medal or? If so, I’m AC Milan fan for the rest of this competition.
I think Bayern at home will show up for the biggest game of their season. City will probably win but it will be closer than tonights game.In normal form surely, but in normal form we would not have lost 3:0 in the first place.
Just when we meet City we are in our worst crisis since over 10 years.
City can only beat themselves. The title is theirs to lose.
It doesn't seem that Napoli can beat anyone...
He hasn't been in the squad so far in the CL, he probably will have to be at least on the bench in the final to get one.
I mean, I don't know... but I think the French is on par with it, if not better. It's absolutely circumstantial that you have 2 sides in the semis and guaranteed one in the final. Benfica beat Juve twice but then not Inter(probably) - who lost to Juve, twice this season.
It's a bit crazy Seria A now as a league. But yeah. You'll tell me Milan easily dealt with Spurs. But if you took the top 4 of each league from the top 5 leagues. I don't think Italy's 4 would be conclusively high. I don't really know, but I'd generally fancy a lot of the Prem against either of the Milan sides for instance, regardless of the Spurs result.
I just don't see this city team not scoring meaning Bayern need at least 4. I dont see it.I think Bayern at home will show up for the biggest game of their season. City will probably win but it will be closer than tonights game.

Isn't there a thing in the CL where the club gets an amount of medals and they distribute them as they see fit? Or am I confusing that with another competition? As long as he's registered he gets a medal iirc.
They're cursed right? Like actually cursed by an old manager or somethingIt's a shame Benfica had an off day last week. It wouldn't have been awesome to this old giant have a chance at European cup glory again. They played 7 finals, that is 2 more than Utd, think about it...
Because both teams are different in the UCL than Serie A. The spectacle and atmosphere is worth it. Who else should be there? Look around Europe, there's not a whole lot better. Bayern collapsed, PSG are shite and get regularly outplayed in Ligue 1, Barcelona failed to do anything in Europe again.
Which of Inter or AC Milan would give City or Real the better game?

Unless you live in MilanYeah, a Milan derby in a European semi final is fantastic.
For anyone interested: https://bleacherreport.com/articles...tman-and-the-biggest-curses-of-world-footballYes the Bela Guttman curse. Poor Benfica !
Well that's the point, it isn't 'well down the list of leagues' as whoever said it. It is a top 5 league, we can argue forever where about it is but it isn't well down the list, it isn't the Turkish league for fecks sake
Thought he made a lot of sense myself! Felt some good points were made. Though he is very EastEnders not my cuppaMan, Joe Cole sounds like a retired boxer who's taken too many blows to the head. Total incoherent bollocks coming out of his mouth
What are you basing that on? The last time either did anything in the champions league was back when mourinho was at inter and they were very much a different beast. But yeah it's been a weak field this year, Barca were a bit unlucky with injuries in the group stage, then you have us and arsenal being strong sides that weren't even in it. But I do reckon that bayern and psg and probably Liverpool would have all comfortably knocked out the Milan sides had they been on that side of the draw, they've been very fortunate

I’ll have you know St Mirren v Ross County is an absolute gem of a match. Capable of lifting any European league up the table into the top 5.I mean, he clearly meant from the top 5 leagues... that he thinks it's 4th or 5th. If you took from that that he meant down there with the Scottish League or some shit, then okay, we agree. But yeah, that's not what I took from it at all. Because the gap from those 5 to Portugal/Holland is massive and then theres the rest..

Maybe it will liven up a boring cityUnless you live in Milan
Then it's hell on earth
So Inter are 24 points behind the league leaders, Madrid are 13 points behind the league leaders and the two could potentially face off to be the best team in Europe. Lets assume Inter do win, having finish 25-30 points off the pace in their country and potentially not even be the best team in their city. Can we really call them the best team in Europe? Cups are rather interesting formats.
Also, does anyone know what's the worst (yes, I'm aware Madrid are a fantastic CL team) two finalists in a European final (in terms of combined points off the top of their respective league tables?)
Extra time City winBayern 4-0 tomorrow night ?
