Champions League Quarter Finals (3rd - 11th April)

Doubtful. If it was 3-2 then maybe. 3-0 puts the tie pretty much beyond City now.
He will not give up, doesn't have to play his best 11 against us and win, not a life or death game for them, that one, but CL on Tuesday, that is another story. btw.,t hey won them 5-0 before, right.

Who's to say City won't do the same in the 2nd leg? I really don't think this is over at all. Liverpool will not be the same team away from Anfield.

Man City have no plan B. The only tactic they have is give it to Sane and see what happens. A lot of aimless crosses as well. At this point teams would bring on a target man for these crosses. They have a lot of rehearsed patterns but they're easy to stop if you play with the right intensity.

City aren’t scoring 3 and conceding 0 in the next leg. This is done.

To be fair all it takes is a good start by City and a few bookings to go their way. Who knows. I can't see it happening on the basis of that performance, but stranger things have happened. City are the better team, but that truly was pathetic stuff.

City were much better in this league game tbf. This just is so bad. They look clueless with the ball for the first time this season. Didn't create a single chance through the whole game.

They lost to a team who've beaten them twice this season. Kudos to Klopp and the players.

And some people said on here yesterday that Madrid wouldn't get close this City team!?

A myth of a football club, dominating an awful Premier League and getting shown up when attacked against.
That was bizarre indeed.

You’re right anything can happen. But Liverpool just tick in Europe, it doesn’t matter what players they have it’s in their DNA. I don’t like it but they know how to win in this comp.

I have never seen a team as inept to retain possession, pass the ball around, draw fouls, waste time as Liverpool. If Klopp´s coaching exam topic was "how to protect a lead", he´d still have no coaching license.

Pep has never had a plan B which is pretty bizarre for what he has achieved and did so far tbh. His system is perfect, but for strange he always struggle to change his approach when it gets screwed. Just don't understand why.

Wow, great night. How amazing the first half was, second one was poor from us but luckily City were absolutely fecking garbage today.

Quite confident now, one goal should be enough next week. And rest half the team against Everton this weekend.

Shame to hear what happened to City’s bus though, intimidate them all you want but keep it nice.

Looking forward to Pep's press conference

"I'm very happy, happy happy very happy" :D

Great performance by Liverpool.

Dunno, a weekend team takes the pressure off in a way. If they play a heavily weakened team and lose then no one cares. If they play a heavily weakened team and win there'll be a feel good factor around the club.
Maybe but I think Pep will feel the club needs a lift after this.
A loss kills any sort of momentum they have left after this disaster

More a case of City bottling it. This is by far their worst performance of the season, they haven't created a single chance of note all night. Can't remember the last time that was the case for City.

Liverpool were just better than them by far. Gotta give props

They brought Pep in the win the CL, so yeah that is what he wants most. The CL would project City to another level. Leicester won the PL.

All credit to Liverpool and Klopp, showed balls and didn’t feel inferior.

Same as it has always been with Guardiola, unnerve his teams and you’ll enjoy success.

Tbf it is only Liverpool who have gotten better of them like that this season twice at anfield.

I think their playing style suits Liverpool's style pretty well. Especially at home with the crowd behind.

Tie is done, in my opinion. City have to attack straight from the whistle and I think that plays into 'Pool's game plan.

Dunno though, if they go full strength and don't get the win then it will be even worse.

Now they'll hammer United on the weekend

Credit to Liverpool, they had a tactic and they played it near perfectly. Pep didnt change anything from their league tonking at Anfield. And didn't even change anything in the 2nd. I expected better from a football genius tbh.

It's a tie done and dusted if we don't see a total Liverpool meltdown at the mighty Etihad.

City have three goals in them in the return leg. But Liverpool have a goal in them. In which case City need five. Will be an intriguing tie.
