Champions League Quarter Finals (3rd - 11th April)

City were much better in this league game tbf. This just is so bad. They look clueless with the ball for the first time this season. Didn't create a single chance through the whole game.
I thought they were similarly shite until Liverpool were out of sight at 4-1 and switched off.

More a case of City bottling it. This is by far their worst performance of the season, they haven't created a single chance of note all night. Can't remember the last time that was the case for City.

I think this has a lot to do with Liverpools pressing and attacking performance. How often are City 3-0 down in the first half? It'll affect the confidence and gameplan of any team.

Yep, Pep can't risk defeat against us now or it turns into a nightmare week for him.

Dunno, a weekend team takes the pressure off in a way. If they play a heavily weakened team and lose then no one cares. If they play a heavily weakened team and win there'll be a feel good factor around the club.

Liverpool getting every little bounce and break of the ball, plus two offside decisions in their favour.....name on the trophy

Aye, fair play Liverpool, we were pretty poor but the better team won, could have done with a lucky break but it wasn't to be

So I guess we cannot expect a ‘new’ winner of the CL, huh? The historic sides pretty much wrapping this up in the first legs.

Pep has completely shat his pants tacticallly and his team have followed in his footsteps

Yeah it's probably a combination of the two. Just don't like the idea of giving the dippers any credit.

Yes I am that sad.

Liverpool's "poor" players believe they're maradona. On top of that they play with an aggression, intensity and reactivity that makes them very, very difficult to play against. And then they have real quality with crazy pace in Mane, Firmino and Momo Salah. They're the only team i'm not confident we'd beat

If you lose possession against them in midfield, you're putting yourself into trouble. But Madrid have a better central midfield and are comfortable playing a little deeper. If Real play Liverpool, an Isco type player or someone to help be an outlet from the forward line or between the lines who is not Kroos, Modric will be important. Then have the ability to play someone into space.

Impressive from Pool and fecking shite from City. Not even a single chance created the whole game. Liverpool's GK wasn't even tested the whole game.

This tie is over. Liverpool will surely score in the second leg.

And some people said on here yesterday that Madrid wouldn't get close this City team!?

A myth of a football club, dominating an awful Premier League and getting shown up when attacked against.
