Champions League Quarter Finals (3rd - 11th April)

City and Barça out. What a night

How did Barca let this happen?? I need answers
They actually were lucky to win the first leg by that score. At home, with a truly amazing atmosphere, Roma turned it up even more and conpletely swept them off the pitch

Crazy night, I would love to see Roma win the whole thing, one of my favorite teams from the late 90's.

It would have been nice to see the smug-less looks of city fans but they all buggered off before the end!

To all the people wanting Liverpool to go through thinking they 'had no chance against a top European side'. feck you!

Football. What a game, huh?

Bayern and Real better be ready tomorrow. It’s not going to be a walk in he park for them either.

That is a ridiculous belief you have there. This is exactly what the CL is about.

And what it has needed, a bit of a shake up at the top. Just a pity that Utd are not involved and that Real will probably win it again.

What are the odds that UEFA try to keep Bayern and Real apart in the draw.

It’s always funny what qualifies as slow these days. We are talking Boateng/Hummels here, likely one of the greatest partnerships of the decade.

True. I'm not saying they're bad. Hummels is slow as is Kimmich.

I need answers too. I mean what happened?? Barcelona are flying high at the top of La Liga. Were the favorites along with City to win the competition. Something must've gone drastically wrong.
You just not watched them play regularly in the league. They concede so many chances against poorest of the oppositions but luck and messi kept them in so many games.

Michael Owen:

“Even though they haven’t conceded many, I’m not sure you can not concede when you’ve got two striker like that don’t put anything into defending. Their basically defending with eight outfield players against eleven and I’m not sure you can do that at the highest level.”

I don’t know Mike, they’ve seemed to do it for the last decade and won shit loads. If only they went with the 10-0-0 formation...

The commentator on the Juve-RM game made a comment about Madrid being the 3rd place team in La Liga beating the 1st place team in Serie A sums up the difference in the leagues.

Wonder what he’s thinking about tonight. First time Barca has conceded 3 goals this year I believe.

 Barca.

Please be Real v Liverpool I cant handle six times la

The chill that went through my body when I read that. In my mind I heard it in Carragher's voice as well. Had visions of him spitting at me.

Anyone but Liverpool. ANYONE.

We played so badly up until Salah’s goal and definitely had a bit of luck, but I’ll take it.

Roma please.

It really doesn't matter who we get but my heart says Bayern is the team that we don't want to play. The thing if we do get Roma we have history with them from 84 and 2001. Off the pitch history in Rome so that would be a good reason to avoid them. Liverpool has a new set of young lads these days that would be all over Roma . Honestly though . feck it . We are in the semis which means we have a good chance.

Anything can happen in a final. Best team doesn't always win it.

Madrid knows how to win in this competition. If it's Bayern in the final then Liverpool have a chance but Madrid, no way.

Another easy CL title and Ballon D'Or for Madrid and Ronaldo.

Madrid are going to win it anyway.
It's all set up perfectly again for them. They must be rubbing their hands watching this unfold tonight. City out. Barcelona out. The two favourites to win the CL by pundits all round. Bayern Munich are looking strong but Madrid are stronger. A third CL in a row beckons but I think they need to get rid of Bayern in two legs. A one off final is too much of a lottery. Roma and Liverpool are outsiders to win regardless of the draw.
