It tends to be standard practice when you want rid of a player who may otherwise be reluctant to leave. Make it clear they won’t get any minutes which forces the move because they want to play.

Really funny seeing people wanting him to get back into the line-up. He treats the ball as a hot potato, something the CMs CANNOT do in this system. Really hope someone is ready to take him off our hands in Jan, could really use the money.

We are desperately short of options in central midfield too. Mainoo has been poor since returning and arguably doesn't suit the role. Bruno doesn't suit a deeper role and gives the ball away more than anyone. So it's hardly surprising people think he is worthy of some minutes

I don't get how he became like this though. He was safe in Madrid (at least that's how I remember it) and it feels like he plays it safe with Brazil too.
I thought it was an instruction thing that made him arrive here and morph into Bruno the 2nd, however he's sticking out like a sore thumb even now with how loose he is with the ball

Because there are no other midfielders apart from Bruno that have any attacking/creative contribution.

At Real Madrid he didn't have to. I want him back in the team.

I hope you are right as it is clear that Ruben does not rate him.
It really is a joke that we have the two highest wage earners as bench warmers or not even selected in the squad.
We need guys at the club that have skill and are prepared to run through walls for the club.

I'd poor would be harsh, he hasn't lit it up like he has done for us but he's getting up to speed. And I don't agree that he isn't suited to the role.

Ruben has one midfielder in the Ugarte mould while the other is a progressor, either by passing or dribbling. Kobbie is very well suited to do so by his dribbling and I'm sure his passing will improve too. Ideally we have someone senior rotate with him since the team demands a lot from that position, that could be Bruno if we manage to get good reinforcements for the front 3 positions.

He actually tries too hard when he actually gets to play. We expose him too much and he’s not able to cope with it.

Truly a shame because his level of play during his first season with us is exactly what we need right now.
