You know what I like about him the most? When Shaw was caught out of position after an attack and Martinez typically went full steam to cover the space on the left they were attacking (happened 2-3 times) I’d look in to the central defensive area expecting to see a big gap where last season they would have played their striker in to score but nope there was Casemiro.

You really need stop doing it to yourselves. Over scrutinizing players game by game. Is a player who performed on the biggest stages. If hes going to be average here and there its irrelevant. And before comparing with adversary players, lets wait and see if the other guy has the nerves to do well on a champions league final.

We aren't talking about some youngster that we have hopes on him, but aren't sure if he is going to be good or not. Is Casemiro. Its like some commentaries about Varane that i saw here in the past and i thought: maybe those people lost their minds? Don't they know its Varane?

Same thing for all player, lets pick a sample of at least ten games to analyse and take conclusions. Its less cringe.

He is the Emperor, that's what he is in midfield and that's what he should be seen as. Man takes no prisoners.

Clean sheets becoming a habit for us recently has coincided with him getting his first solid run of games so far.

It's early days but we have arguably our most well balanced spine since Fergie and he plays a large part in that.

Still truly feel that the City result would've been a lot less lobsided had he started. I still don't blame the manager since his approach in regards to slowly integrating him into the XI has worked out wonders.

Happy with his passing range and willingness to just zip it forward to the front players as soon as he gets it. McTom and Fred didnt do this anywhere near enough

the first clip's sliding tackle and the standard tackle is his biggest addition to the team.

you can try your best to recollect McTominay doing the same thing in his last 5 years and I bet you won't be able to do it. McTominay's defending ability is so overrated, he just never manage to do a single clean sliding tackle in our own half in 5 years, all he can do is wrestling, getting dribbled past and fouling..

I think he’s our best player and he has brought something we’ve desperately needed for years. The midfield looks balanced in possession, but what I miss is the ability to press when we don’t have the ball. Second half against West Ham was poor in that aspect. There was one occasion where Bruno pressed the goal keeper, who hit the ball under stress in to the middle of the pitch where a West Ham player calmly received the ball on his chest with full control without any United player bothering him at all. That’s why both McT and Fred came on but they didn’t replace Casemiro, instead offensive players had to walk off.

Maybe they were tired, I don’t know, but that would also be worrying because we have a long season ahead.

Played really well. Downes isn't the toughest of opponents (doesn't look terrible, just not a #10) and we won that part of the pitch by a mile. He, Lisandro, Eriksen and the fullbacks all doing really well at the moment and we're just dictating games even though our front 3 is fairly average.

Amazed there's people saying he was "Awful" yesterday.

Was a 6/10 performance from him - we've already seen he can play much better than this, but still far and away above the McFred levels we've been used to.

Still needs to tighten up his passing at times mind.

One thing that annoys me is this fuss over the man’s age.

Fernandinho performed till what age?
Silva is how old ?

Only with united this is an issue. He’s come at just the right time experience wise and under a competent manager.

Transformed our midfield completely, with the help of Eriksen of course, having a defensive machine next to a playmaker is always a good combination. He allows our attacking players to thrive. Even the defence are a lot more confident knowing they’ve got him in front of them.

Everything about us is always going to be negative. Even when we’re performing well you see negative stuff… because everyone hates us. They should all be talking about how bad the scousers have been rather then always bringing our name up. It’s a joke.

I've been very pleased with his playmaking abilities as well.

Toni Kroos saying players only go to the Premier League for money and he’s annoyed at players joining us.

Casemiro seems to have done the right thing. Testing yourself in the biggest league in the world instead of coasting in La Liga is what Toni Kroos should maybe not look down upon.

He also states how Premier League teams win nothing but forgets the fact his Madrid side were underdogs last season so maybe their level isn’t exactly the highest atm.

Would've been a great goal if Ronaldo didn't stop to get in Rashford's way.

Okay. This is getting a little out of hand. Ronaldo was not stopping. Rashford ran in front of him and bungled the chance.

Still can’t quite believe he’s ours.

I said it before, probably in this thread, but he’s the one midfielder I would have picked for us given we needed a DM desperately and I would have thought it basically impossible back in May.

Yeah it was the sort of dream signing you make in Fifa but dont imagine ever happening in real life.

The board needs to act fast and start investing in young CDM very soon. Need a promising youngster learning from Casemiro at the same time sharing workload.

That's great to hear. Although he hasn't worked with all that many really top managers. According to wiki the list is as follows:

Mourinho (very briefly)
Ancelotti
Benitez
Zidane
Lopetegui
Solari
There all probably bigger names then Ten Hag though apart from the last 2 you mentioned. I still don’t think many are classing Ten Hag as one of the world class managers in the world. I think that will change though if he brings success to us.

How many more top managers do you want? Among them, they have about 9 champions league titles plus many more domestic titles.

Besides moving clubs or ones present club changing managers how do one work with top managers? It's not like they choose who they want to coach them.

Coincides with his introduction to the starting XI, we've conceded just once in open play since he became our no.1 choice

Didn't get anywhere near enough on the ball.

He won't work long-term with the type of midfielders we have.

Was left to play alone in midfield tonight with Eriksen absolutely abysmal while DVB pulled one of his patented false player performance.

Not the first thing I read about someone saying how much Casemiro is loving it in the Prem. The intensity, competitiveness... He was born for the league IMO.
