i used scousers to make a point. we have caught up with a lot of teams when we're behind.. like SAF said, we have rebuilt this team 3 times since he's been here.. we'll be back, you can bet your ass on it.

won't be too long.. and who said it's already over anyway? we still have 6 months to go MOM. it's a long way yet.

to be certain that a team is actually in a slump they would need to sustain poor form for a long period of time.. years.. we're still a force to be reckon in the CL. We also finished 3rd last season after having been in 9th place in mid-december. it's could just be a dip - not a complete decline. we'll see. too soon to tell.

it's because we let you finish 2nd mate. we made mistakes and dropped points early. if we had continue what we have been doing you lot would have finished 3rd again no doubt.

i admit pool made improvements, but it's still far off from our possible peak performance.

you can't even sustain good performace in the CL at the same time as the league for more than 1 season.. you are making improvements - it'll be long before you actually make it. we've done the trebel, we've been into atleast the quarters of the CL 6-7 years running. it shows the consistency that you lot don't have, and won't have for much longer.

look davo, to sum it up. poo tried very hard to finish 2nd in the league. very commendable. we dropped points, made silly mistakes - even the manager complain of complecency in the team - and finished 3rd only because of more silly performance in the last 2-3 games of the season.

the point is, eventhough we didn't look solid we almost finished above a top-notch liverpool team with its best performance in over 10 years.. that says something about the gap between you and us. on our best days we'd take you down no doubt. i'm sure you know this as well.

it's possible.. although veron is a new comer, won't go anyway. ruud already scored over 10 goals this season, he's the only real scorer in the team, not going anywhere either. ole still tries very hard to fit in - just like scholes, so he won't go anywhere either.

becks is also trying very hard, but we know he's best doing jobs out wide. giggs on the other hand, doesn't seem to like his new position and doesn't look like he's trying hard to make it either.. so either we use them where they should really play, or we replace them.

We tried to finish as high in the table as possible, as did you. However, we were better and finished above you..

We weren't at our best last season, our form in Dec/Jan was appalling, yet we still were too good for you.

The gap between us and yourselves is there for all to see and is currently growing..

it's not growing davo.. even with our bad form we managed to get through to the second phase of CL and still ook quite solid there.. you lot never looked like you were going to make in from the start.. basle took over.. to be a great team you must first be able to achieve the consistency.. you are just not there yet mate.

liverpool finished 2nd last year having lost our manager for half the bloody season to a life-threatening illness. . .we made plenty of mistakes along the way, otherwise we might have finished 1st. . .and we've got far, far more potential to come yet 'cos we've got so many good young players.

liverpool seems to have made the most out of this team already looking at the performances in the CL.. you have no one to give you the spark there.. you haven't been able to swap between CL and EPL well enough.. i don't see the potential there yet for liverpool.

my point is we have the potential but made mistakes. while you were as good as you could be and finished 2nd.

as i said, once things click in the United team we'll be like a rocket and will show you how to do things.. but even when things click at anfield best you can do is finish 2nd.

The problem is not that becks and giggs can`t play in the middle, the problem is that all our players are in the middle while there is nobody out wide. Either becks and giggs must stay wide, which they don`t do for some reason or there has to be better movement in the team. For example if becks moves inside veron should go wide. This just don`t work, because all our players stay in the middle. Strange that they can`t do that, it even worked for England last year between Becks and Gerrad.

that's exactly what i thought.. yet SAF is clearly blaming it on the players.. i don't understand.. but he surely must know more than we do.. he sees things in training that we don't.. if you trust SAF you have to believe him.. no other options.

and all we had last season was 2 good months.. you see the difference? with 2 good months we finished 2 points (was it 2?) behind you.. while you needed 8 good months to topple us and still finished behind arsenal.

it may not be, but i guarantee you something, if it's not us at the top, it'll be arsenal - not you. you may become better than us in terms of consistency in the league, but you'll never be the best. and once we get our consistency going it'll be the same ol' story - us against the Arsenal. not against Liverpool.
