I, too, think all the talk of showing the door to some established players is getting a little beyond rational. I mean, replace who? Class players don`t lose their ability overnight. However, much as some of us support Keano through everything, I think his opinions have contributed to a lost of the misguided talk and misinformation on this board.
Keano has the right to his opinion but I would have preferred it if he had actually come out and named names so that players like Giggsy who may be inconsistent this year but is still a Red Devil through and through and hates losing, don`t get unfairly stigmatised as somehow having lost their hunger.
I think Henning Berg was shipped out because Sir Alex thought he had lost his hunger but somebody mentioned Coley in another posting and I thought that was simply not true. I believe the younger, stronger, seemingly more predatorial (then) Ruud simply was seen to be the future of the strike force whereas Andy had contributed so much yet was nearing 30.
However, at the same time I will defend the right of any poster to criticise the team (even the Nevilles and Giggsy) although I will defend those players whom I think are having to endure unfair and ill-informed criticism. I don`t think it makes them muppets although I think some of the postings are a bit over the top.</strong><hr></blockquote>
Listen to her. Every time she opens her mouth something wise comes out. Seriously, it does.
I am NOT being ironic or sarcastic. Seriously. She is a devouted fan, but still dares to think FOR HERSELF. That doesn't make her a "muppet".
A "muppet" is a wrong term. Let's use the word PUPPET instead. And IF we have to stick it to somebody, let's stick it on the fans that never dares to say something critical. You know: "puppets on-a-string"...
