Bundesliga Confirmed Transfers

madness. 1860 München ("the lions") are literally the worst run club in german football and there is a tough competition for this title. Good transfer for Köln.

Osako wouldn't have joined 1860 without the exit clause in case the club doesn't get promoted. At least that's what I heard.

Now they should have the cash for Calhanoglu but how will they plug the hole in central midfield? Emre Can was a crucial part to their plans on the position and I don't know if they can get Kramer back from Mönchengladbach this summer. If this means another season with Simon Rolfes in the starting line-up I'm going to puke. :wenger:

Just like Bayern, if they were willing to get rid of him so quickly, he can't have been that crucial. They surely have a plan up their sleeves.

Liverpool paid the release clause. Leverkusen could do nothing.

The 12m should be helpful for them though and Can wasn't all that tbh. I'd tempt Mainz with a 16m offer for Geis.

Really surprised no one is going for Inui. He was wonderful the season before last but had an indifferent campaign in this past season. He's got great ability and could help either a midtable team by being their star or a top team by being a squad player. Very similar in terms of talent to kagawa.

Think Hoffenheim have a great deal there. He'd never make it at Hoffenheim imo.

I don't understand why Frankfurt didn't splash the cash, instead they're still being linked with Bendtner.

Frankfurt doesn't have the bucks. I read - in Kicker magazine or FAZ or another more trustworthy source - that they have a transfer budget of six million Euros. €6m for replacements of Schwegler, Rode, Jung, Joselu, ... !
AFAIK Frankfurt promoted two youngsters from their academy to the 1st team and also hired one from Mainz' youngsters. Their budget is really, really tight, which is why I don't believe a nanosecond that the rumors re: Bendtner are true.

Wow this is a depressing thought, no wonder Armin Veh and a lot of the key players left. I assume it's 6M on top of the money they earned from the transfers of Jung and Schwegler? If not they're really screwed.

At least Frankfurt is profiting from Nürnberg's demise. Chandler is a very good Jung replacement and Hasebe is at least decent and hard worker.

  • Köln closed their transfer business summer 2014* with a loan deal of Tomas Kalas from CFC.
  • Diouf leaves Hannover as a free agent for Stoke.
  • Not final yet though close: Stefan Kutschke moves from Wolfsburg to Paderborn.

* @RedSky, sorry I'm a bit confused. Will the images on the 1st page be updated with new information? No pressure, just asking as I see some future players for Köln (like Zoller, Svento, Peszko etc) and other players not listed yet. Thanks!

Yeah, i'm updating them every 2/3 days. I haven't bothered in last few days as there hasn't been much movement. You can see when it was last updated right at the top on the first image.

The drop in the overall technical skill of the team caused by Gotze and Kagawa leaving is going to hurt them untill they sort it out. With Gundogans back issues, this will only get worse. Its all good an well running with the ball at 100km an hour but you also need players who can play in tight spaces, and IMO they simply don't have enough of those.
Gündogan *was* missing the whole season but that was impossible to plan for. Kagawa, on the other hand, is 2 years gone now. You are right about the special skillset needed for Dortmunds playstyle and it remains to be seen if they find any quality players to fit in. Reus did, Mkytarhyan and Aubameyang only a certain degree although not without showing promise.
Also don't underestimate how important Lewa was for them. Few strikers in europe can receive and control sharp and non-perfect passes on limited space as well as he can.

Not a new confirmed signing but another chapter in the Calhanoglu saga:

He missed the start of the training today. Reason: Psychologically affected by the shitstorm from HSV fans after he expressed his wish to move to Leverkusen. Went to a university hospital to get a 4 weeks sick leave allowance but HSV doesn't accept it and insists that he must undergo their medicinal/psychological check. :nono:

No offence but what a dumb piece of excrements this lad is. Mental.

Sounds like HSV have their hands full!

HSV deserve it but c'mmon, this guy behaves like a super-spoiled toddler with an IQ below room temperature in degree Celsius. I couldn't believe it when BILD broke the news until HSV confirmed. Absolutely mental. :wenger:

He's believed his own hype, could be his downfall. He is really coming out as a complete twat.

I'm sure, Leverkusen fans finally feel really special now, doubt it ever happened before that a player forced his move to their club with so much desperation. I mean, really, what an idiot. It's not like he's sitting on a once in a lifetime chance to join a club like Real, it's Leverkusen ffs.

Alot of this has to do with Hakans agent. He's one of the most obnoxious agents I've ever seen.

Really not too sure what to make out of it tbh. He played a great season last year, but what he's done is inexcusable. He lost a lot of credit with the fans, and he also seems to show with his attitude that the club means nothing to him.

Problem is, we'd be losing a lot of quality with him potentially leaving... And I don't want to experience a season like that, ever again.

I think you phrase it way too kindly, and not everything can be explained by his agent being among the worst.

I hope that Beiersdorfer will stay firm and keep him. If Calhanoglu continues to behave like a baby, his chances for a big career are at stake: Which top club will hire a player who doesn't skip a single opportunity to harm his employer and refuses to do what he's obligated to do by a legal contract? As a side effect, he's ruining his value for marketing deals.
There are way too many AMs around with comparable skills, know how to behave professionally, and with a much better image.

Considering how pissed Völler et al were when Schürrle pushed - comparably gently - for his move to Chelsea, I wonder how they feel about Calhanoglu now. Such a pity that the media don't press them with questions about Calhanoglu's character (or lack thereof). :D The Leverkusen fans I know didn't want him even before he came up with his psychological stress story.

I'm not saying Calhanoglu didn't do anything wrong in this situation, but his agent certainly influenced him. For a young and inexperienced player like him, who played in the 3rd Bundesliga just 2 years a go, an agent like that is the worst thing that can happen to you. And agents don't necessarily work for the players, but more so for their own benefits.

Certainly Hakan behaved like a child though, saying that he wants to "build something up with Hamburg" a few months a go, and now forcing a move out to Leverkusen...

That is my biggest hope as well, with HSV+ we'll have a whole new structure and Beiersdorfer is experienced enough to know how to deal with this situation. Either let him go for 15 Million + and cash in, or keep him and have a good player, but if he misbehaves just kick him out of the squad.

Völler... I don't even know what to say about him... Always whining in the media that everyone is treating Leverkusen badly, but now they do the exact same thing... Making a contract with him without talking to Hamburg etc.
I feel like Calhanoglu doesn't really fit into their system anyway, they need a creative number 10 but he just isn't that.

@gofelx

If I were Beiersdorfer, I'd milk Leverkusen: 15m minimum plus additional appearance and performance payments.

Völler is a hypocrit, not just re: Calhanoglu. He's been a great striker once, and I still love his "Weißbier" outburst against Waldemar Hartmann, but his cuntishness factor is continuously increasing season after season. ;)

Mateusz Klich returns from Zwolle to Wolfsburg. Unclear to me if he returns from loan or if Wolfsburg made use of a buy-back clause.

Leverkusen have signed Shakhtar youngster Vladlen Yurchenko.
