Bundesliga 2016/17

Same line-up as vs Leipzig, actually the first time ever he's left it unchanged between two matches for Dortmund, according to sky. Dembele nominally plays as RCM, but he doesn't really have a traditional position in that sense, he has a license to roam the entire right half of the pitch and will often act as a winger. The whole setup is pretty asymmetrical because Guerreiro acts more like a real CM and Reus is something between LCAM and ST - meaning it will at times look like a 343.
It looks a front 3 to me. 3-4-1-2 or 3-4-3.

Dembele you sexy beast :drool::drool:

No idea how they didn't convert that though.

It really depends on the phase of play. Since Dembele has so much freedom he will frequently drop back during build up making it a true 3142.
After they successfully advanced the ball to the attacking third he will of course act more as a attacker.

I wouldn't call it bottleing (the first one definitely was though), it was a good shot under pressure and the keeper did very well to get his finger tips to it.

It's great to see a ref be consequent about tactical fouls but at this rate we won't pass the hour mark with 22 players on the pitch..

Weigl has developed this tendency to stay inside the shadow of the attackers. I often wonder why he doesn't try harder to make himself available during build up.

4/6 of Hertha's defensive players on a yellow now and it's not even half time

I hope Tuchel is giving them a bollocking in the dressing room. It would be really bad to get knocked out at this stage, and a loss for the tournament.

On the other hand it would be fecking great for Hertha because with a bit of luck they could make it to the final - which is held in their own stadium.

Ah of course, that would be magnificent for them.

I learned at school the goalkeeper had to have the ball in both hands. Has this rule changed, or is it nonsense that goal was disallowed?

Dortmund slowing down considerably after coming out strong, it's a fairly common theme in their matches, I wonder whether it's psychological or simply ressource management.

Gotta love that "Eure Eltern sind Geschwister" aka "your parents are siblings" one.

At least some of the fans have a sense of humour and know how to wind up the Leipzig fans.

Wouldn't it be great if all the "Gegen den Kommerz/Gegen den modernen Fußball" (=against the modern football) crowd would just start chanting your parents are siblings against Leipzig instead of the same old whining about the inferior quality of Red Bull, the 50+1 rule, plastic clubs and so on?

I mean that stuff got boring after the second Bundesliga season from Hoffenheim. It's time to at least get some new chants against those clubs if they want to keep on fighting against windmills.

Don't think he's injured, just dead on his feet, like most players.
