Red Bull isn't German though.. If anyone can strike the right balance, I am sure the Germans can.

1. RB Leipzig 27 pts
2. FC Bayern 24 pts
3. BVB 21 pts
4. 1. FC Köln 21 pts
I hope that you can finally build something lasting. Schmadtke is incredible.1. RB Leipzig 27 pts

Hoffenheim can go to 23 pts tomorrow though.
Just like that, Hoffenheim have turned it around. 2-1.
We seem to be cursed this season. Horrible mistake from our 2nd goalie. Adler would've saved that.
Back to 2-2 now.
Very poor goalkeeping, yeah.
First game I've seen of Hamburg this year but they don't look like a team that'd be bottom of the Bundesliga. Where specifically has it gone wrong?
In short, it's Red Bull's main football club. They weren't allowed to call it Red Bull Leipzig, because the sponsor can't be part of the name in Germany, so they called it Rasen Ballsport (Rasen = turf). That way they can use RB Leipzig as the name.Just saw the league table. Who the hell is RasenBallsport Leipzig and how in the world are they ahead of Bayern?
I've honestly never heard of them.
Wow, that's impressive! Cheers, Balu.In short, it's Red Bull's main football club. They weren't allowed to call it Red Bull Leipzig, because the sponsor can't be part of the name in Germany, so they called it Rasen Ballsport (Rasen = turf). That way they can use RB Leipzig as the name.
Red Bull founded the club in 2009, they had to start in the 5th league and got promoted almost every year. Last season they finally got promoted to the Bundesliga and are now in their first season. They've spent quite a bit of money, but don't buy established players, only talents younger than 24. It's a very young team full of potential with a great young coach. I don't think anyone expected them to do that well though.
Yeah, Carlo isn't doing all that well at the moment. Still early in the season of course, I'll start worrying if we're still behind in March.Wow, that's impressive! Cheers, Balu.
You guys must be slacking to be behind them though, surely? Carlo
Leipzig has 9 wins and 3 draws. Their excellent start to the season has nothing to do with Bayern. Their results are absolutely sensational.Because everyone else is doing shit. By everyone else I mean Bayern.
Is this a genuine fairytale Leicester-style story or are they the German Man City?
Honest question, as I haven't been following them.
They kind of will be the German Manchester City, that's what seems most likely...but the squad they're doing it with right now definitely still makes it a Leicester story. They spent big money on prospects, yes, but they didn't even really buy the top talents that were much sought after. Their team is very young and with all these new players it's crazy they already have such a great team chemistry.

I assume you mean Hasenhuttl?Weinzierl deserves more attention and credit. What a fantastic manager he is. Turned an Ingolstadt squad ready to go down to the 3rd league into a decent Bundesliga team, now he's turning Leipzig into a serious contender. He flies under the radar, but I'll be damned if he isn't the most impressive manager in the Bundesliga in the last 18 months.
they're pretty much doing a leicester city right now, but will have a better chance of staying up around the top level even if they don't win it this season. Is this a genuine fairytale Leicester-style story or are they the German Man City?

Bundesliga definitely has some interesting managers. Tuchel is the most renowned one, Naglesmann's also gained a bit of superstar status being only 29 years old and turning Hoffenheim around, and Hasenhuttl's up there as well.
