Bundesliga 2016/17

Guess that makes sense.. just never liked Martinez as a cb. Awesome dm though.
He's quite good as CB, actually. But I don't like to see him play there, neither. Especially on a day like today where Vidal is out we're lacking a proper destroyer in DM and waste Martinez on CB instead.

He was our best cb at the beginning of the season, when Hummels was still very shaky and boateng was injured. Then the injuries started again.

One of our better games this season. Very good first half and our offense looked great at times. I'm still a bit worried about the defense, but at least we are winning again. Can't drop points until we play Leipzig.

The defensive woes continue, but we were so much more dynamic up front. Dropping Alonso helped.
Also: What a fecking free kick from Lewandowski.

Good reaction after being down so fast. But we need clean sheets again.

It is a different game when Müller plays on the 10 and we have Robbery, Müller and Lewy. But we need a more defensive midfielder than Lahm with Thiago - even if Lahm made a good match. Oh - and we need a fit Boateng in the back as we lack speed in the defense.

What a fecking annoying game. The worst Bayern performance in Mainz in a long time and we're too fecking passive and scared to take advantage. We get the early lead, then drop it because our defence is garbage this season, and then we continue being passive and sitting back. Bayern were so vulnerable at the back, even in build up. That one period of pressure in the second half - we're defending higher up the pitch, putting pressure on their CB and DM and we're winning the ball in dangerous areas. We needed a lot more of that.

Atmosphere was shit too, we're one down in the last ten minutes and there's no support from the stands, nothing to push the team on. And it was cold as feck too, there was a layer of ice on my bike seat after the game.

I just fecking love Ousmane. His passing ability is ridiculous for a winger, it's like he's a number 10 sometimes.

That front three Reus-Dembele-Auba is absolutely spectacular.

Dembele is as complete a winger as I've ever seen. The boy has it all - excellent goal. On paper that front 3 of Reus, Auba and Dembele is so good. Struggling to see how they fit everyone in.

On Sahin, how is he back in the side? Haven't seen the guy since Klopp left. He seems like a player you have to feel a bit sorry for....left Dortmund at the wrong time, making the worst career choice and has been destroyed by injuries since.

Chicharito....that was the worst penalty I've ever seen. Absolutely laughable.

I'm really impressed with Hoffenheim this season.

Well, this game was the right statement at the right time. If we manage to get consistency into our play aswell this team can go far.

On the other hand, things are looking grim for Gladbach and Schubert. Can´t see the latter staying out of the line of fire for much longer.

They got just 1 point from all their away games in the league.

RB Leipzig playing some great stuff at the moment. What a story that would be ?

Undeniably talented player but he's been frustrating for the most part this season (completely acceptable and understandable) and isn't there yet. Monchengladbach are shocking away from home and haven't won in 6 games so I wouldn't draw many conclusions from this game.

They've played Schalke off the park in the 2nd half. Brilliant football. feck knows how Schalke are still in the game.

Sounds like Darmstadt has fired their sporting director Fach and manager Meier. Thank God. Two of the most unlikeable hacks in the business. At least now the chances of avoiding relegation improved from zero to 1%.

The match yesterday was horrible to watch though and maybe the worst referee performance i have seen in a long time.

Week after week. I don't understand how Dembele's passing and vision is that good. He's a fecking winger for feck's sake. Dortmund fans can bemoan his finishing all they want but the guy is simply a ridiculous football player.

:nervous: Dortmund...1-0 to Koln, great header by Rudnevs delivered by Jonas Hector.

Whats with so many teams playing with a back3/5? It is such a weird trend. I have nothing against this formation, but some coaches seem to randomly switch between different systems and often it backfires pretty spectacularly. Why not just keep the back4 and put another DM in front of the defence to tighten things up? It is much easier for the CMs/FBs.

Even in a season when Bayern struggles, the competition manages to lose enough points in order to stay below them. That is if the RBL result stays the same.
