Ya that’s how they had it down on whoscored and when my live scores football app but in reality he was the point of the 4-3-3

That’s how it would actually look on the pitch with Guedlj being the #6 and then Wendel being the #8 box to box player with Bruno Fernandes as the #10

With JJ last season it was a 4-1-2-1-2 wide formation with William as a #6 Bryan Ruiz and Gelson and the LM and RM and then Bruno as the #10 with Bas Dost and who ever they played next to him as the front 2.

Well we haven't had any personality in attack since Ibra left so that would be a good aspect to have if he signs for United, although we wont provide the second balls for him with the #9's we currently have.

Appreciate this post. The more I read about Bruno’s gameplay style, the less I think he’ll work out for us. Along with this post which was equally as informative:

He needs to be given time though, especially since he's working alongside Woodward.

And my growing suspicion that he wants to use United as leverage to get bigger wages, I just don’t feel as confident as I did a couple of months ago. The player is talented no doubt, but I just think that a #10/AM wouldn’t be so useful for United’s system especially considering he’s coming from a foreign league. The transition is half the problem/question, and then adding a square peg in a round hole positionally just doubles the concern and adds up to a whole lot of risk for no reason. Maddison would make much more sense just because he’s in the league and I’d feel better getting him just because he’s come here and wouldn’t cause an uproar or bidding war to up his wages like Bruno is doing...and I could care less that he’s English. I’ve been vocal in lots of threads saying it’s so overrated and stupid how much emphasis is put on that in the EPL but Maddison being English is an added bonus I guess in that sense for those who care.
 
Reports today say we are hoping to do a deal for him by end of this week. Let's wait and see.
 
Wouldnt be the most thoughtful time to make business, considering he's busy with Portugal at Nations league.

Can see this being a reason why Ole may be targeting him. I think he wants to be able to play a diamond more often next season and to do so he needs to upgrade on Lingard and Mata as his options there.
 
If he's going anywhere it won't be till after the Nations League.

Jornal de Noticias is not very reliable at all. IMO the most reliable paper in Portugal are either O Jogo or Record.

A Bola today saying that Spurs are looking at Bruno Fernandes as a replacement for Christian Erickson if he is to leave this summer.

Inter join race, probably offered Perisic on loan for a year and a bag of crisps. Be very surprised if he joins us. Can see him ending up at at City, you never know just hope it doesn't rumble on all summer.

BBC said few days ago in a piece about D. Silva that Bruno isn't joining City.
 
Abola with more Fernandes news today saying "Man Utd want signing as soon as possible"

Abola are on a crusade to bring him to United.:lol:

I do feel we need a true playermaker or two much more than these AMs and second strikers. But you never know how the team dynamic works
 
Looks like he is playing out wide today. Don’t know why you would play a guy with such goal threat out wide but I guess we will see how it pans out. Seems Santos wanted to force Felix and Bruno in the starting team at the same time.

On paper it's seem like a weird setup without any width, Bernardo likes to cut inside and Bruno isnt exactly the type of player to for the line and cross.

I predict it's gonna be one of those games, that we pass the ball around in midfield, CR gets pissed since he gets no service and starts roaming and shooting from 50 yards out and we have no presence in the box.

Sounds about right.

I think he was getting pressed by Mendes to start Felix but he also knew it would be a scandal not to start Bruno so he tried to fit both in at the same time.

This is the only game bar James who I feel like we're going to get right now, may as well watch him.

I've said from the get go he'd be a huge downgrade on Pogba or would be a bad fit to partner him in midfield. Same reasoning as to why I said the same last year about Savic when everyone was wanting him.

I've seen these players enough to know they'd either be a downgrade if they're Pogba replacements or bad fits for a balanced midfield alongside Pogba.
 
Bad game from Fernandes. Well pretty much everyone to be fair. It didn’t help that they played him out of position. He looked lost.

As I said before he has to play down the middle. Nonetheless bad game.

Maybe, But his general play and standout ability shouldn't get hidden by the position he is playing. He looks nothing like a 80 million player being quoted.

Oh I agree. No player in the Portuguese league should leave for anything over 60M if the market is true to its value.

The problem is every price is inflated in football now.

If we have honest market prices with no inflation then based on last seasons Felix is no more then 45M and Bruno no more then 55-60M.

Yeah you should still see his on the ball abilities and his weren't impressive tonight
 
We’ll hoping England win tomorrow, we might have to play him face to face in the Final, then we can tell if if he is shit or not.
