Getting good again under Amorim
I thought that he was very good. I don't know if I'm imagining it but it seems that he has been following different sets of instructions in all the games led by Amorim.
Yeah. Some possibilities:
- Amorim is still trying to find his best positions
- Because of his versatilities, Amorim is able move him around to give chances to other players to play on their "best" positions.
Or most likely a bit of combination above.
Agreed. Tbf, I like this different supporting roles he has instead of the previous free role 10. It still makes use of his creativity, while the team as a whole doesn't need to "accommodate" him as a fixed 10. I don't know if this statement is as clear as in my head. The point was more about how he has managed to fit in different roles and help the team differently. I'm 100% sure that it's on purpose by Amorim.
And I like how Bruno is performing in all the roles.

To be fair he says himself that he's been following Sporting's games since he played there, it's a bit easier when you have the inside out knowledge already and can focus on execution rather than simultaneously taking in the tactical knowledge.I think it's pretty clear and I agree. I was very skeptical about his ability to do it at 29 but he is proving me wrong or Amorim has the secret sauce.
I think he'll get there with the goals too, probably reach 10 by the end of the season again. Plenty of games left to play. He’s nearly there with assists already (9), and in this new system, I think he will continue being a productive source of assists going forward. With goals it’s less obvious, though
We saw glimpses of him playing deeper or other positions under EtH but then back to free role 10 by default. EtH would still play a one-legged Eriksen in CM if it means playing Bruno in 10.I think it's pretty clear and I agree. I was very skeptical about his ability to do it at 29 but he is proving me wrong or Amorim has the secret sauce.

Apparently Bruno's going to be one of those there's no role for under Amorim.
There's really no pleasing some of you lot.Not sure why you think this is some gotcha. Those stats you posted when put into context came against the following: Southampton, Brentford, Chelsea (penalty), Leicester, Everton and Barnsley.
Lukaku flat track bully vibes.

There are some exceptions, you check that posters posting history and you will see he won't stop talking shit about Bruno.
Your posting history does make it look like you're a little obsessed...
Your posting history does make it look like you're a little obsessed...Well when you look at how much he is paid, and how he has actually performed over the past year, you are damn right I will "talk shit" about him. Same goes for Utds other overpaid "stars" like Rashford and Casemiro.

Same goes for Utds other overpaid "stars" like Rashford and Casemiro. You most definitely will not see me twerking for him getting stats on the leagues worst teams.
Thank you for the in-depth background check though. I hope in this endeavour you learned that people can have contrasting opinions!
No problem, one of my role is to spot poor posters, i think I'm doing a decent job at that.
Your posting history is just sad.If he’s starting next season Amorim will not last long.
This was my exact post when Ten Hag joined us so this still holds true. Any coach who sees Bruno as integral part of the team going forward will be sacked sooner rather than later.Your posting history is just sad.
Everybody expected United to lose but of course now it is a crisis.
As usual, if Amorim doesn't bin Bruno and Rashford. He won't survive 18 months at the club.If he’s starting next season Amorim will not last long.
Those two should have seen the door ages ago but they produced those moments for Ole and Ten hag while being fundamentally flawed players so they stuck with them till the end.As usual, if Amorim doesn't bin Bruno and Rashford. He won't survive 18 months at the club.
Again I said, we can sign 11 Ugarte and Yoro's but if we have passengers in the team, who have been here with over 5 managers but they deliver same pathetic performance then we deserve all that we get.
I think the way we played the game, Casemiro would have been fine and a better fit for today. I think from a defensive aspect Bruno actually did okay but he was caught out a few times on the ball and loose in his passing at important moments.Starting Bruno ahead of Casemiro tells us more of what Amorim thinks of the latter.
He was poor, as expected. Not his position, his passing was also off today what makes him net negative as he guarantees losing a ball in dangerous area.
He's too old now to learn new tricks.Everton game gave me false hope as I never thought he is capable of playing it simple, but when things not going well either for him or the team, he always rushes and forces play. Will he ever learn?
Come on, I am certainly not a Bruno fan but thats unfair. Bruno isn't going to change his game and skillset at this point so when stuff like today happens, it is on the manager who choose the wrong combination. And lets not act it is the most exotic thing in the world to attempt to play him there, half the caf is ready to put him in this position even though he isn't a good fit.But in some people eyes Bruno is a 'world class' player.
5 managers later in United he still can't do the basics correctly.
Incredible how we've been duped by these players.
