Bruno whines all the time. He is unbearable, if he was playing for another team, he'd one of the most hated player easily.
He gets away with a lot of complaining when you’re winning but he is probably the worst player in the league for complaining. He is the type of player who will pass it out for a throw and blame the person he intended it to go to. I honestly can’t stand his on field antics. Great player in song but doesn’t give him any right to be an absolute douchebag.

He needs a reset and a rest, should sit off the game against Betis at least 1 if not more.
You're right. Only problem is we don't play well when he's not playing. We have zero intensity in our forward areas without him. There's a reason every manager plays him every game. But I think Ten Hag has to bite the bullet on Thursday and pray we don't get punished.

He's an absolute embarrassment. When I watch him with non-United fans I'm embarrassed by him constantly flailing his arms about and whining. Sack him. Get rid.

I've been done with him attitude wise for a long while but still supported him (biting my tongue basically)because he was contributing.
I've had enough of his bullshit now. He is an overgrown crybaby

He plays all the time so it's hard to know how we'd be consistently without him.
Yesterday was a watershed moment for him and the team I feel.
He might be a surprise high profile casualty

Obviously Bruno was beyond defence yesterday. His antics were not good, but Robertson also faked being hit in the head first half (from a high boot, and I am pretty sure it did not hit his head) and I haven't seen anyone mention it once. Even at the time on commentary, they were all over Bruno immediately.

He’s definitely a player we’d hate if he played for another team but we’ve had a few of those over the years (most of them Portugese, coincidentally) but I don’t get why so many fans of Manchester United see this as reason to hate one of our own players so intensely. Not when that same player busts his fecking gut for the team in every single game he plays. And yet we’re seeing even more hatred in the last 24 hours for him giving up on tracking back once, in a game where we hadn’t a hope of a result and there wasn’t much time left. By a player who makes himself available for more matches and covers more yards in each game he plays than almost any other player in the league. In the middle of the most insanely congested run of fixtures we’ll probably ever see. Stay classy, redcafe.

You’ve got a real blind spot for him.

He was a disaster against Liverpool. And he acted like a petulent child, while wearing our armband. Maguire got critized for his antics, why should Bruno be treated like he is bigger than the club.
His performance and attitude was a disgrace against our biggest rivals. That is rightfully being called out.

Do managers ever talk to players about diving around. I think it's 2 or 3 times this season where he had chance to get a goal scoring opportunity but instead was looking for contact and a dive. That play where he rushed Allison it was obvious he had not interest in getting a goal, he wanted to push the ball and get contact from Allison for a pen.

Think ETH needs to drop him for that performance and antics for at least 2 games.

You cannot have your on field captain doing what he did, he needs to be disciplined. A fecking joke of a performance that.

He played badly against Liverpool. Along with every other player on our team. The petulant antics are what they are. Nobody cares when they happen in a game we win. Like his hysterical protests when the goal against City was almost disallowed for Rashford being offside. Obviously they’d be nails on a chalkboard from an opposition player but he isn’t an opposition player, last time I checked.

What “antics” did Maguire get stick for?

That video proves absolutely nothing. Stop being stupid

When he copped his ears against Albania after scoring, his comments about him being better etc.
Bruno has been great this season, but you dont get a pass for that type of performance and behaviour against our historic rivals regardless of previous performances.

I hate his antics and his personality but I won't lie, I don't like seeing an 11 without him. Like you said he will always put in a shift and is rarely injured. The entire team melted, the armband is not the captain. Casemiro, Bruno, Varane and De gea were the leaders (captains) who let a capitulation happen. They didn't do their jobs as leaders.

It’s a pity we have other pressing issues otherwise I would be looking to get rid, to show that kind of mentality as a captain is unforgivable.

That’s because that seemed to be him having a go at the fans. Completely different to Bruno’s amateur dramatics. Not in the same ball park.

He's played 4072 minutes across 47 matches (club+international) this season. Those are 3rd most and tied for most, respectively, among all players in Europe. 87mins per match averaged. He's got his faults but he clearly needs a rest
You can rest him as much you want, but he’s capable of this petulance and non-leadership at any time.

Bruno gave up and asked to be subbed against our biggest historic rivals for fecks sake. I dont want him sold or anything like that but he needs to get a fecking hair dryer treatment, preferable from Ferguson after that performance and behaviour. No excuses.

He actually wanted to be sent off. Don't get why Ten Hag kept him on.

Dalot, Varane and Fred are the only ones who were not shocking. Fred was just completely ineffective.

We crumbled with the man marking tactics, just like Leeds crumbled against us two seasons ago.

Combined with Liverpool getting every deflection and challenge their way + us being wasteful in the first half and here we are..
Jon Mackenzie has come to the same conclusions as me - the man marking tactics didn't work as Liverpool's players had the technical qualities to win their duels and it became gradually worse after each goal.

The grief with Bruno is exclusively about his bodylanguage as a captain, not his on pitch performance. Captains can have dogshit performances, fine. Its bad, but it is what it is. The captain of Manchester United can however not at any point start acting like a bratty teenager who didnt get a Playstation 15 and a Ferrari for christmas while an estimated 6-700 million people worldwide watch the game (figures include replays, social media and television).

Neville says from whiners to winners earlier in week and this place went nuts. We lose to Liverpool and everyone on here is moaning we whine too much. Bruno is kinda what we all thought of European players a generation ago where they were theatrical and verbal and anything else to get an edge. He is so invested in that side of the game it’s hard to believe he’s focussed on the football! Brilliant player, been great for us recently, terrible awful day for him and all the others. He’ll help get us top 4 and have a good season.

I have never changed my view on him since his first few games. He's always been a whiner, you bear with it when he plays well

I know he's been loose in possession always but I feel he has lost his way here since Ole's last season.

He's just not fresh in mind and body. His shooting is laboured and underpowered, a far cry from his Sporting days or first few seasons here. His strong mindset has become a larger negative as time has gone on and seems burnt out.

Carrick as caretaker didn't play him in one match and brought him back as a sub in the next match, he came back and was careful and brilliant in possession and changed the game. I was hoping we could reign him in a little after the Ole sacking but he gets played too much and it all looks like a slog for him again, face full of grimace, tired legs and frustration at not getting decisions from refs, too much play acting and complaining.

Yesterday it was a huge mistake from the manager to put him out there wide left, he clearly wasn't impressed either. He should've been in the middle with Weghorst higher up and Rashford out wide left.

For what it’s worth, the Sky commentator also made a comment during the match that Bruno wanted to come off or couldn’t understand why he wasn’t coming off

I alluded to this in the "Who is your current favorite player" thread but Bruno is a player that I've never been able to warm up to or really like. Harsh as it might sound considering he's been one of, if not the, most productive of our players since he signed, his game is just too erratic for me to like him as a player. He gives the ball away far, far too much. Constantly trying for the Hollywood pass. To his credit he does have good vision and execution so it does come off for him, but there are too many times when it does not. To add to that when his Hollywood passes aren't coming off, he doesn't bring much else to the game besides energy. He doesn't hold the ball up well, isn't particularly fast, can't dribble, doesn't help with keeping control of the ball and recycling possession. I just can't bring myself to like a player who is as profligate as him.

He embarrassed himself, and Manchester United FC yesterday. He was getting caned online, radio shows etc, and rightly so. He needs to learn from this, as it should ensure that such a performance never happens again whilst he is captain. It should also ensure he steps up and shows us the player he is, and make sure it helps him build his character.

This could make him a better footballer.
