Also I just realised Liverpool thought it wasn't an extraordinary incident so didn't deserve more than three games, then Rogers just said a 6 match ban would be fine.

Rodgers claiming he hasn't been let down by Suarez :lol:

The man must walk around that place feeling like a king because he gets the full backing of everybody at the club no matter how many times he messes up.

I can't think of any other manager who has ever talked the same stream of consciousness gibberish that Rodgers seems to talk on a regular basis.

Listen to this little ramble ffs:

When questioned as to whether Suarez might have a specific psychological issue, Rodgers insisted: "No. What I'm saying is, is in modern life, whether you're a football player, a plumber, a joiner, a bricklayer, you work in a warehouse, you're not immune to your issues and problems, especially if you're a footballer.

"Because you might have a bit more money than someone else, it doesn't rule out that sometimes there might be something clinical that is wrong with someone. All we're saying is that whatever the issue is - the behavioural issue - we will do everything we can to support that person and that person now is Luis Suarez."

Does he have a specific psychological issue? No. But he might have "something clinical that is wrong with (him)"

Righto, Bren.

Made-up but apt stuff ahead:

"My brother stole my wages, and told everyone in the street that my mum slept with her labrador. But if anyone bad-mouths him to my family, we'll have a right go back at 'em; because *drum roll* we look after our own.

Gotta go - he's trying to nick my f*cking compu-..."

The worst thing is that he was actually very level headed and sensible at Swansea. What the feck happened?

He's bloody desperate to keep both the player & his job. And then there's that 'get the fans onside' thing too.

He sees what happened to Woy and realised that the manager of Liverpool has to make this kind of statement to keep his job.

This rant has secured his position with the fans for a while. His face will be on a flag anyday now.

It's that club. It's like the England job in that it sucks even rational people into its grasp and completely scrambles their brains.

He wasn't always, he did have the "It is great for the public here at Sunderland to see us” quote

Righto, Bren.

It seems that Pepe Reina thinks the issue is his Uruguayaness.

F*ck me, the Bible is a quicker read than a Brendan Rodgers interview.

There speaks a wise man...

Maybe he's keeping the issue indoors?

Oh, I won't get in the way of the pisstaking. Carry on

By accusing FA of being impartial and by saying Suarez is a bit mental?

Great way to keep it indoors.

They're trying to court public sympathy & favour, a shameless ploy they used during the Evra/Suarez affair.

"But I look at Luis' face and for the first time since I've arrived here I see a genuine guy who's bitterly disappointed. Go on - look at his little face. You've made him cry now. I hope you're all proud of yourselves. YAWN."

....

How long before all this stress causes Brent's herpes to flair up again?

By giving a lengthy interview where he basically says yes, Suarez is a bit mental.

That's a great way to keep the issue indoors.

Read the article now. My mistake.

And that's a bit creepy.

"Not since the Dreyfus Affair or the Eurovision Witch Trials has there been such a miss selfridge of justice; I know 'cos I looked them up on Wikipedia. Of course, there have been other wronged martyrs besides young Luis - Joan of Arc, Jesus, that penny for the guy bloke - but I can guarantee that none of them lot suffered more than Luis Suarez; I told him that when I arrived at his penthouse.

I'm not the kind of man to tell people how to do their jobs but, if you're listening Mr FA Man, do your job properly & release Luis Suarez. Let him return to the loving embrace of Liverpool Football Club. We think of him as a 'false prisoner' - that's one of the many technical footballing terms I invented, y'know. Blah blah blah etc etc etc envelopes trequartista etc."

"Lots of South American players do whatever it takes to win"

Erm... How does biting someone who doesnt even have the ball going to help you win?

I laugh at all this 'street football' nonsense. We all fecking grew up playing football in the street and, if anything, you were less of a dirty fouling bastard, because you were playing on concrete. Just because it was played in the street, does not mean it was like Street Fighter. There was no hair pulling, eye gouging, stamping, biting or any of that bollocks. It was all about skill. Anybody doing what Suarez has done wouldn't have had their door knocked and asked if they were coming out.

It's weird. Liverpool generally seemed to have a bit of sympathy on this issue. A lot of people seemed to think the ban was harsh.

They've gone and ruined it by their victim attitude.
