To be fair when I managed people I always tried to help them to be autonomous and create their own job/career path - some people don't want it but for most it's how they wanted to function and it results in much better performance and a happier working environment.

To be even more fair I'm pretty certain you managed that without recourse to stick man drawings.

A chat over a pint/glass of wine was more my style. In my early days we did have the black spot and the 'wanker of the week' award for people who particularly pissed us off with their stupidity.

"Raheem, what does that picture look like to you?"
"Er, a spunking cock, gaffer?"
"Good. Now imagine there's a crown on the helmet. It looks regal as feck, dunnit?"
"....."
"You're not going to sign that contract, are you?"

Please let us win today! Otherwise Brendan will irritate us by talking even more shite!

If we don't win today he's going to be absolutely insufferable.

In fact, perhaps I should print some pics of his face out and pin them on my archery target....
Sometimes he says so much stupid stuff that you want to print out a pic and tape it on your girls a** and give it a proper b*tch slap.
If ya know what i mean.

Oh wait, you are in uk.

"Glen Johnson coming off has caused a real technical issue. He's a future era technician, technicalising the charichatude of the south east back in this reverse attacking profile I've chosen to conduct here today".

He'll certainly mention Mata's goal if Liverpool don't get something from this game.

Despite last season being a huge step forward, come the end of the season Liverpool may somehow actually end up in a worse position than they were in when Rodgers took over.

Lost their best player. Gerrard's even older and still not replaced. Defence and goalkeeper is less secure. Squad is padded with with the same mediocrity. I don't have a clue who they get in as manager either, if Rodgers goes.

"I thought we probably done enough to win the game"

Let that sink in for a moment

I don't think his tactics in the first half was quite correct. Definitely looked more threatening when they had a proper striker in Balotelli on the pitch. Sterling did well, mind. Don't think he'll be sacked midseason. If the owners are thinking about replacing him, it'll be done at the end of the season.

Looked like a beaten man in the post match interview. Not sure if he has the answers anymore.

To be fair, they did have plenty of chances and would've given us a much better game had they been more clinical in front of goal.

"But we won the passing..."

Remember, they made defensive mistakes today which is the reason they lost. The chances they created were carved out with superb football and we made no mistakes at all when letting them in.

Basically they actually won and this doesn't count.

I don't think he could survive losing to arsenal.
Usually I'd want him to stay longer and hopefully make things worse.
But I'd be excited to see who they'd get in :D

More chance of another Dalglish stint than a top manger.

I feel sorry for the guy. Someone should warn him how tough the PL is.
