Why do people are so convinced that Utd are in for him, when no reputed sites or reporters haven't even linked his name with Utd.

Supposedly Swiss commentators were saying he's on his way here during today's game. Why do people are so convinced that Utd are in for him, when no reputed sites or reporters haven't even linked his name with Utd.
Reputed sites only report these deals when it's almost complete. Why do people are so convinced that Utd are in for him, when no reputed sites or reporters haven't even linked his name with Utd.
"reputable" sources are too busy telling us we're going to sign Sanches, Gundogan, Stones & Neymar.
Meanwhile we signed Bailly out seemingly no where.
I honestly can't see Depay being better than anyone right now. He's horrid.
Because this is the transfer speculation forumWhy do people are so convinced that Utd are in for him, when no reputed sites or reporters haven't even linked his name with Utd.
If United does sign Embolo, Rashford or him would be probably too young or inexperienced to start together plus if Ibra does come as well. As for future line up I would think the 3 of them would be interchangeable on the pitch ala Ronaldo Rooney Tevez. The three of them so far looks have the potential to play centrally although Martial seems to work wonders more coming from the left. Embolo has some wicked crosses coming from right and Rashford offers those cute link up plays. Either way 15 to 20 million buy for a potential players sound like low risk but high reward if it works out.You may be right but having 3 young players (Himself,Martial & Rashford) that can play anywhere across the front 3 can only be a good thing. Let them develop and see who deserves to go central.
Rooney has done his bit for the team I think.Yes, and hes right I supposed its not so clear.
Remember we were on about Messi and Rooney at 19 rooney burst on the stage, messi was more a grower that was then. AND there is not a chance they are even on the same planet now
If someone told you, watching messi and rooney at 19, that you were watching one of the best players of all time and asked you to pick which one. Most would of picked rooney at that time.Rooney has done his bit for the team I think.

He didn't impress me in his 25 or so minute cameo yesterday. One good pass and the rest of it was ordinary. There were a couple of times when I was shouting at the screen urging him to run as he was ambling around. Looked more Depay than Martial.
Hope to see more of him in the next two games.

Im not sure what point you ar making but it has nothing to do with what i am saying
Yeah, at one point the Swiss were attacking and he was on the other side of the pitch just walking rather than busting a bollock trying to get forward. He didn't impress me in his 25 or so minute cameo yesterday. That certainly is not true, Messi at that age was ridiculously good and you could see he was more intelligent and technically better than Wazza who was already a physical beast at that age.If someone told you, watching messi and rooney at 19, that you were watching one of the best players of all time and asked you to pick which one. Don't you know? Youtube+1 match is enough to judge a player on.I don't know how anyone can draw any conclusion about him solely based on yesterday's performance.

One should not draw a conclusion solely based on yesterday's performance, but if one has been watching football/players for a very long time then one can start building his/her ideas about him - and we must admit that yesterday Embolo did not give us a very convincing show.
If we see him play again then maybe we can continue with our assessment of him.
This. Some of the assessments in this thread are ridiculously premature and just wrong.Imagine the sharpening of knives if Martial's cameo last night had been the first we'd seen of him after spunking all that money. "Why aren't we signing proven class like Pedro?"
Has not shown anything that suggests he is better than Lingard or Young. I'd fancy Valenica at wide right more than the Embolo we have seen today.
Old enough to recognise between them who was more talented. Messi was irrepressible at that age and often time he got kicked maliciously as that was the only way he could be stopped. He was specifically targeted and kicked by a very good Chelsea team during the 2006 UCL quarter final game as he kept tormenting them resulting in the sending off of Del Horno? He was mostly held back by injuries during those early years and even at that time he kept churning out ridiculous numbers that at 20 he was already in the top three in the world despite an injury plagued season. How old were you then? In Messi's very early career he was only perceived as one of the world's top young players. Some would have tipped him to go on to be the best in the world but some would have picked Ronaldo and some Rooney. Liverpool fans would have even picked Le Tallec!
