Breel Embolo | Signed for Schalke

This guy is a monster and the absolute real deal. Anyone who thinks this will be a Memphis situation (young player from lesser league struggling to adjust in the EPL) will pleasantly proved wrong. Admittedly I became aware of him through playing FIFA but when I saw how good he was, I wanted to see if he was legit in reality and I wasn't dissapointed in the handful of times I saw him. He has a good build, strong on the ball and is direct on the attack with aggression. I don't know if he will be as good as Martial which is why I wouldn't say he's Martial on the right but he would be an excellent signing. Espcislly when you consider his age and bargain fee.

I remember some people saying it would have been a good idea for Martial to stay at Monaco for another season. It's a gamble. We then risk not only having to pay more, but fighting off other clubs.

Clubs like Dortmund, Atletico, and Juventus are happy to sign these young players and develop them, Even Spurs recently have benefited from buying highly rated youngsters. We then find ourselves each summer drooling over the prospect of signing them, when we could have already signed them a few years earlier. It's a balancing act; we can't fill the squad with 18 and 19 year olds, but we should certainly try to have a handful of the most promising young players in the world in our team. It won't always work out, but when it does it's highly satisfying seeing a young player develop and grow in to a star.

Agree with all of that, see below.
Yup, the deal makes sense in every aspect for us. Was talking about Embolo's POV. More game time at Leipzig -> Better development.

Have you completely lost the plot?

Composed finish
Good crossing (somebody should have put that low-cross away early on)
Decent link-up play
Pace, power, agility
Versatility - moved in to the channels out wide, showed he could work in a team sitting deep as he made some good breaks on the counter, latched on to a through ball to score, showed some use as a target-man after that holding up a long-ball and bringing others in to play
Good teamwork
Physical and worked hard without the ball
Showed a willingness to run at players, beat his full-back numerous times, drew free-kicks
Some intelligence, won a few clever corners

What more do you want? There were a few loose touches so he will need to work on his ball control and a couple of times he lost the ball trying to beat too many players or somebody in too tight a space but that's about it.

He's barely 19 aswell...
I completely agree... If that's the 'worst' he gets, sign him the feck up.

Fast, strong, quick thinking, good movement on the break, confident in possession, confident out of possession, breathes fire, natural leader, great vision, shoots laser beams out of his arsehole, can recite the entirety of War and Peace in twelve different languages at the same time.

He's a talented prospect and I want us to sign him but he did not look good in those highlights @Raees posted.

One other aspect that I love with this potential signing is the youth factor. Jose is putting the money where his mouth his. For all the previous concerns about his youth policy, his first two signings would be classic United transfers that were typical under the SAF regime. A young player (under the age of 25) with great potential, strong (to cope with EPL physicality) and no character/personality red flags. Just hard working, ambitious and full of potential that needs some moulding with the proper managerial hands.

Always bought him on my Man Utd FM saves. If he turns out good I will surely take the credit just like my homeboy LvG .

Over 20 goals in 60 appearance as a 19yr old is impressive but IMO he's not what we need right now.

I would be very surprised if Mourinho signs him given that we have enough strikers (if Ibra transfer is happening) and we need a specialist world class RW desperately.

He would be good but we also need an established right sided player.

He might be what we need in a couple of years though mate. Ibrahimovic will only be here a year.

Also, doesn't Embolo play on the RW?

Even if that's not where United see him playing, it seems we've got plenty of money. We can afford to buy Embolo as well as a RW.

As a right sided player he's a creative, fast, powerful workhorse. This is exactly what we need.

If Jose decide to buy him, it is not based on YouTube. He has connection everywhere where he get inform of potential player. Everyone should trust the manager. If things doesn't work out, Jose will shipped him out personally.

Surely he must have also tested him in football manager

"He's quick, he's fast and he's got pace."

Know nothing about him, but i'm getting cautiously excited. He sounds and appears very raw from what others have said and his vids, but he seems strong and quick. Can never have too much pace in your side. Just hope there's genuine talent to go with it.

If he's replacing Juan then he needs to develop his blogging game. Until that happens, cocks in.

This guy sounds better than Messi. Why is he not on the Ballon dor short list?

Nothing so ridiculously teenage and desperate, nothing so childish, at a better pace, slower and more calculated, still cries at a good film, still kisses with saliva.

Seen a few videos and not that impressed. Looks like a decent young striker at that level but can't see why United would be a good move for him at this stage, he should go somewhere he can get regular football.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if the agent was using our name to get more money.

Here's another video showing all his touches in a game, this time from a sub appearance against England.

More or less the same things as in the other video. He's extremely strong for a teenager, quite fast, versatile (plays mainly upfront but runs the channels well). His weaknesses are technical; poor touches and bad ball control etc.

Obviously, FM and FIFA only tell part of the story and we can't predict a player's performances or potential based on those games, but I signed him to United on both and he's an absolute monster, so clearly he's going to be better than Messi and we should pay whatever it takes.

There has been a huge increase in posters using FM as an argument of players potential and ability. Stop it, please.
