Television Breaking Bad

Isn't he in New England somewhere in that opening scene in S5? A long, long way from home. It felt to me like he was on the run with a new identity and possibly the return of the cancer (he is coughing in the bathroom after he collects the keys). Having said that, he's picking up a massive machine gun, so obviously he is expecting trouble.

I'm setting the alarm an hour early to catch it tomorrow morning before work :D

Netflix accounts for nearly 30% of all internet traffic - that's about to go up.

Calm down, you crazy bastards! This is like the Hazard thread before it all exploded.

Quite looking forward to it myself, as it happens.

Was thinking before...any chance of Walter dipping into his own product? That's a route they've not taken him down yet, but would again be a damning indication that he's lost himself. Sounds mad but you never know.

That being said, it's interesting seeing Walter's character again in that opening scene in season 5. With his whole demeanour, he doesn't quite look like the fecked up psycho that you'd think he was heading towards being. It's only an impression but he looks more resigned than evil. Another interesting thing is that he gave out his fake name to the woman that was serving him...maybe he's resigned at that point to dying fairly soon afterwards? He originally hesitated in giving his ID, but then it was like he had some sort of "ahh feck it, whatever" moment. He didn't look like the same person that was after Hank clocking onto him at the dinner table. He was pissed then obviously but there seemed like more of an acceptance and a knowing about his situation in that clip.

Dunno, the suspense is killing me.

Seriously?

You're better than this Eboue... I used laugh at your posts. To see you reduced into this bumbling, repetitive Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime over a conspiracy loon is a sad sight.

Cranston is being heavily linked to the Lex Luthor role in Man of Steel 2.

This is some shitty 15s clip from a phone camera if anyone's interested:

I'm not watching that but I'm guessing someone else might want to.

No, he's back in ABQ. He has a New Hampshire I.D though,

presumably he used Saul's contact to get the new identity.

He buys the gun and car from the same guy he bought the gun from earlier in the series. After looking at his New Hampshire I.D the waitress says he's a long way from home and asks him is he on the way to California and he says he's no, he's staying here to take care of business, so we can assume he's back in ABQ. I think it's the same Denny's Walt and Jesse have been in before too.

Anyone know where you can live stream this tonight?

11/20, by the way. Shocker.

16/20, bitches.

EDIT: Also, I'm thinking we keep all spoilers in tags for a week, to give people chance to catch up. Any objections? Good.

I wouldn't want to spoil anything for anybody but seriously, it's not hard to simply avoid the thread until you've seen the episode. People will want to talk about it.

Maybe put a warning in the thread title but it shouldn't really be necessary.

If you're on Twitter, just put in the searchbox "Breaking Bad stream" or something along those lines...and you should get lots.

Well it's just that there could be yanks talking about it in an hour, whilst we're still talking about it, and we don't need to see anything before we've even had chance.

I'd say the best thing to do if you haven't seen it after it airs is just stay out of the thread. I'll maybe spoiler some stuff, but even then the rules are the rules and you're asking for it if you go into the thread when it's aired.

They replayed episode 8 just then.

The scene when Walter goes to Jesse's house that last time to give him the money. feck me, that's one of the best scenes in anything ever.

Just a few minutes now. :D

feck's sake, my livestreams chucked it already.

Jesse's character now seems extremely overblown, unfortunately. I get that he's having a bit of a moral crisis about previous events but he's way out of synch in my opinion. Compare that scene there with Walt with the bit at the end of the previous episode and the difference in quality and character interaction is huge. Nice spot though regarding Walter and his lack of paranoia about Mike - thought that was a good bit of dialogue.

That episode took a while to get going and I wasn't sure whether they'd exploited Hank finding out like they could've done, but that bit at the end was great. fecking hell...'tread lightly'. Sets it up nicely now...I thought it was going to be a more subtle cat and mouse sort of thing for a few episodes but the shit's hit the fan already.

When does this go on UK Netflix ?

It should already be on! Annoyingly, they're off the radar. I knew this'd happen. They say immediately, but it won't be on til like 10am. So while I'm sat here like a schmuck, people will be up nice and early to watch it at 10, whilst I'll be asleep til about 4.

I'm also sorry if this notification got your hopes up.

That scene between Hank and Walt at the end was just brilliant.

"Tread lightly."

Was amazing watching Hank trembling and unable to look Walt in the eye in the garage. Shows how far it's come when Walt can just stand there knowing that he's fecked whilst showing no sign of weakness.

Definitely thought that took a while to develop considering how it left off but it kicked up many notches when Walt found the tracker.

These are going to be long weeks.

Holy puta que pariu. That was pure epicness.

Thread lightly was the line of the century, at least until next week.
