Television Breaking Bad

Very interesting. Called that around about December but the reasoning was more speculative and nothing like as cool as that. I'm still gonna be all smarmy and twattish if it happens, though.

Very impressive, seems like I hardly remember half the stuff in that video.

He's the shit. I think my favourite piece of acting from him is after he's just blown up Tuco's place when he's in his car. I have no idea how someone generates that sort of emotion.

Re watching it at the moment, my favourite so far. When Jesse goes to kill the drug dealers that killed the kid and Walt runs them down and shoots the guy who survived in the head and just says 'Run'. fecking brilliant.

Just seen the 'I fecked Ted' episode. What are people's thoughts on that bar fight Hank starts? Aside from showing us how freakin' bad ass Hank is...why'd he do it? Some sort of breakdown due to the post traumatic stress he's been suffering from the El Paso incident? Or is he trying to get himself in trouble with his bosses so he doesn't have to go back there?

Stress and taking out his anger.

I'm up for work at 4 so I'll have to wait until tomorrow afternoon. I can't fooking wait.

Seriously?

You giant attention seeker, you. :smirk: It does really, aye. Was fecking evil of them to delay it this long, and now that it's actually here it feels quite odd. Could be one hell of an anti-climax...

I hear you. Ignore Eboue.

He's on one at the moment or something. All bent up about getting shat on by the great Shinji at Haxball last night probably - spent the whole time cyber bullying him to deflect from his own shiteness. Everyone was shite though to be fair...that game is fecking hard.

Nah, they haven't let us down so far.

I'm convinced Walt will lose one of Walt Jr or Holly.

Yeah, he needs to suffer like that in some way.

I wish I'd taken your advice earlier in the thread and started watching it again - watched that refresher thing and I'm amazed how much I've forgotten already. I'd basically forgotten that Lydia was a character and have had to do all sorts of Youtubing just to make it all a bit clearer again. :nervous:

Just read someone's thoughts online about just this topic, funnily enough:

Walt will use ricin to poison Skyler, but will instead kill one of his children

Can you imagine that?! feck.

feck feck feck. I though this was out on Tuesday so left 4/5 episodes of season 8 to watch tomorrow so I could watch the new one on Tuesday when its out. Gonna have to set up base tomorrow and fly through them.

What time is it out UK time on Netflix?

If anyone has a stream for this tonight it is crucial you inform me so that I can report it to the authorities. It is imperative that anyone with a stream complies with this order at the show's time of airing.

They've said 'immediately' after, so probably around 3am. I bet it ends up being something stupid like 4am though.

Expect shit to go down tonight.

When Hank flushes the toilet.

3am as in 5 hours? I could get the 5 left watched in that time but want to watch the golf. I've already seen them so dont have to watch them, but I think I want to. Looks like I'm gonna have to wait until tomorrow.

Think of it this way: You'll watch the rest in your own time (you have to now), but it means that you won't have as long to wait for the next episode. We have to wait a whole week!

Good point. Though in truth I'll have a week too since I'll be working next Monday so not a chance I'm staying up until 3/4am.

My mate suggested that Hank will commit suicide in E7. Could you imagine that?

I really don't fear disappointment with this. The first half was slow going in places, and seemed to be picking up the pieces from S4 (let's be honest, those pieces went everywhere (explosion reference)), but it's set it up really well. Don't spend too much time on the drama with Todd, and if you're going to spend time on [Laura Fraser's character], make her interesting. The only thing I've got from her so far is that she has an anxiety disorder.

Hank wont kill himself. I think he will reach out to Skyler and have her help him take down Walt, which will lead to Walt killing one or both of them.

The scene where he's watching Scarface keeps coming back to me and what he said to Skyler, "Everybody dies in this move, right?"

This is the first time ever I have anticipated a new series of a show so much. Despite my criticisms of it, it's top quality drama.

Was thinking before...any chance of Walter dipping into his own product? That's a route they've not taken him down yet, but would again be a damning indication that he's lost himself. Sounds mad but you never know.

That being said, it's interesting seeing Walter's character again in that opening scene in season 5. With his whole demeanour, he doesn't quite look like the fecked up psycho that you'd think he was heading towards being. It's only an impression but he looks more resigned than evil. Another interesting thing is that he gave out his fake name to the woman that was serving him...maybe he's resigned at that point to dying fairly soon afterwards? He originally hesitated in giving his ID, but then it was like he had some sort of "ahh feck it, whatever" moment. He didn't look like the same person that was after Hank clocking onto him at the dinner table. He was pissed then obviously but there seemed like more of an acceptance and a knowing about his situation in that clip.

Dunno, the suspense is killing me.
