Television Breaking Bad

I don't remember Hank ever being a dick to Marie, but he was certainly a dick to Walt, he often insulted and discredited him in order to get laughs from people.

Am I the only one who thought FINALLY someone has said it when Skyler kept screaming shut up at Marie?

I watched Beverley Hills Cop on television last week and thought one of the characters was very familiar looking. I check the cast list on IMDb and lo and behold, the bould Mike was indeed in it. He had a full head of jet black hair but the facial expressions etc. were all the same. I love when something like that happens when you're watching a film from back in the day.

I know, It was series five before I noticed that Walt is the dad from Malcolm in the middle!!

I'm with Sparky on this one, Skyler needs to die a slow horrible death, it's the only way Breaking Bad can end perfectly.

Also has anyone else noticed

I'm starting to get a bit concerned with how this'll finish. I love happy endings (don't), but that'd ruin this series, it can't end happily. And it'll mean that everything Walt has done and been through will be in vain. He'll have destroyed his family, been responsible for dozens, if not hundreds of deaths, and it could all have been avoided if need have accepted the Blacks'(?) help. Made a shit tv show mind.

it is in the hundreds, the plane crash in season two was 167, though he's not directly responsible for it.

I suspect Walt will die and Jesse will have a good ending, sort of bittersweet.

How can this even end up in an happy ending? Walt will either end up in prison or get killed. The most happy it could get is Walt dies and is dissolved in the HCl thing and no one in his family knows what happened to him.

yeah after all the gruesome deaths walt ending up in prison would seem a tame ending

it's not, Gilligan confirmed that the second part of season five will be the last.

Supposedly there's a Saul spin-off in the works though.

This is what happens:

Hank realises its been Walt all along, but having felt how lame life can possibly be during his time as a rock (they are minerals!) collector he has sympathy and understanding for Walt. He decided to give Walt a chance to turn everyone else in. Walt sees that this is his last chance and rats out all his contacts. However, drug people dont like snitches so they come to Walt's 52nd birthday part and kill his entire family and friends. Walt hides in the crawl space and escapes. Thats what has just happened in the flashback at the first episode of season 5.

Walt then enters witness protection and becomes the dad in Malcolm in the middle. Breaking Bad has been the prequel all along.

Yeah, try seeing Malcolm in the middle again. Things will not be the same.

And I can't see movies with William H. Macy the same way after Shameless.

On S03E10 now. Excellent stuff, but I have to admit I expected a bit more after all the praise.

Cranston and Paul are both superb though.

Speculation
I think it's obvious that Walt will die...he has to, really. The question is who else will? Jesse? Any of Walt's family? Hank?

If you look back at previous episodes, there's a lot of potential foreshadowing, though they may easily be red herrings. There's some foreshadowing that Hank may commit suicide (see Youtube for details), and Walt Jr. may get in a car wreck (trouble with the pedals, Hank telling him to slow down to which he replies "Never"). Not to mention, the scene in which they are watching Scarface, and Walt states "Everyone dies in this movie".

A lot of these are very tenuous, however BB has a history with this (the teddy with a burnt face and missing eye/Gus' death).

So hyped for this.

Yeah Malcolm in The Middle is great. It's inclusive broad comedy that's not dumbed down or obvious. Which is a hard skill in itself.

I just could not put up with the mother character for more than five minutes. She irritated my more than I thought possible from a tv character.

She is certainly a weak link, I'll agree with that. Her voice does my head in. She is essentially the 'villain' of sorts I suppose, so I guess you're not supposed to like her ;)

Fair point. If Hal was to murder her I think the Judge would let him off.
