Television Breaking Bad

Well the end of season 4 did strongly incriminate Walter but it did seem out of character. Then again I am not sure what's in character for Walt anymore...

Poisoning of Brock was to turn Jesse against Gus. This all starts when he gets to know that he doesn't has any money cause his bitch wife donated all of it to her boyfriend. They show at the end, when the camera focuses on the flowerpot. What I don't, and I am sure many don't get is how did he manage to do it?

When Jesse gets loads of calls from Saul he goes to his office and Huell pats him down. It's here that he lifts the ricin cigarette off him, with his chubby fingers. Walt got them to do this so Jesse would think Walt took it. We then have Jesse threatening to kill Walt before Walt pretends to realise it was Gus who did it. Gets Jesse back on his side. Obviously after the shit goes down he needs the ricin cigarette to turn up again so he pretends to help Jesse look for it in his house and plants it for the Roomba to pick up, which makes Jesse thinks he just lost it and confirms in his mind that Gus poisoned Brock.

As for the actual posioning of Brock, it's hinted that Saul did it to him. He'd been shown before giving him sweets so he could have put it in that or something.

We saw Hank at the start of the last season as a free man. He was in a diner with hair and it was his 52nd birthday, he celebrated his 51st at the start of the last season. Hank throwing him in the slammer would be boring anyway. I said that I thought that Jesse would kill him too, as revenge for the kid and Jane after Walt confesses the truth to Jesse. Brosstan found this theory to be absolutely preposterous.

I still do. It will be out of character for Jesse to do that unless his own or a loved one's life is directly threatened by Walt

Just passed the end of season two. When Walt lets Jane die; what a huge turning point that was for his character.

I absolutely love the development in this show, the transition in Walt from someone you're sympathetic with and pretty much routing for into an absolute power mad cnut is fantastic.

Just watched the 4th episode of Season 5

I don't think I have come across a more annoying character than Skyler in this episode. She was always annoying sure, but you could sympathize with her in earlier seasons but here she's just a fecking insufferable bitch. She was the one who got involved in the whole Car Wash business against Walt's advise and now she complains about being in the thick of things. And she doesn't appear to regret fecking ted either.

It gets better, too.

:wenger:

I know you're entitled to your opinion but that's a baffling one.

I just got too bloody silly for my liking. I was still throughly entertained but I prefer these types of shows to be within the realms of possibility. Anyway I am not getting into this again. I fear the wrath of the BB fanbois.

For me the second half of the third season, and the entire fourth season were the best by some distance.

The last episode of third season is one of the best episodes I have ever seen.

I might start watching it all over again by the time the second half of the final series starts. That way I can enjoy it all over again and won't have the week long waits for the episodes.

So you'll wait till the the show ends before blitzing through the last half of Season 5?

Yeah, that's not gonna happen is it. Stop kidding yourself.

Just caught up fully now... Wish I hadn't!

Should've left it after S4 and watched the whole of S5 once it was out. but the temptation got to me. But now I'm left with questions :(

Only just saw this. Most shows I've seen have been in marathons, from prison break to 24 etc etc.

When I watched the walking dead I caught up with about 4-5 episodes left and it wasn't as enjoyable. It will be difficult, but I'd like to have the 8 episodes on my hard drive and then watch them all at once.

I watched a season and a half of Breaking Bad over a year ago and really enjoyed it. I stopped halfway through season 2 cos the files I had were corrupted and didn't work correctly. I bought the 4 first seasons boxset afterwards but never got round to watching it because of all the other series on at the same time.

Finally started re-watching it with the fiancée a few days ago and we've almost gone through season 1 (which is very short). We just watched episode 5 (Gray Matters), and I just had to come in here and post about that intervention scene, which is absolutely brilliant. An amazingly written, played and emotional scene all around.

You haven't even reached the best parts. My absolute favourite was season 4, and the finale is the best I've possibly seen in any Programme. I was so drawn to it that the ending just blew me away, and programmes rarely do that to me. It's a very good programme and I look forward to it's end, they should wrap it up well hopefully.

Yeah I realize this, all those I know who have already watched the series tell me it just gets better and better as it goes along, so I'm looking forward to what's coming, but I just loved how that intervention scene was written, it was absolutely perfect. It's also what I like with the show: the first season really gives great background and depth to all the characters and I'm sure this is useful in the following seasons. They didn't rush all the events (it's a bit stop and start, he wants to cook meth, is confronted with the grim realities of such a life, then pulls back, then has all this incertitude about his treatment, and finally goes back to Jesse) and rather layed down the groundwork which was quite audacious as you'd think one of the major necessities of a first season would be to hook people in. They were confident enough to do that thanks to strong characters rather than immediate cliffhangers and so on, which is great.

Ive changed my mind on characters that need to die in the second half of series 5......Marie......for the love of god if the only way to shut her up is with a bullet DO IT!

Walt Jr.....Mardy miserable little sod......not to mention he has a challenger at the age of 16......prick.

Still going with Skyler.........Never forgave her for

Giving Walts money to her poxy boyfriend........bitch

The Skylar hate is bizarre when you analyse her choices. Would you have rather she not give him the money and cause the IRS to start snooping around Walt and her?

No Id rather she had been shot before that point :lol:

I get what you mean though. I used to hate her character too. But I don't anymore, especially after a second watch through. May be it's the actress?

Yeah I did hate her first time reading, but I'm watching it again and when you consider the shit Walt does, it's very understandable. I thought the only real cnutish thing she did was sleeping with Ted and telling Walt she fecked him.

Nah its just because she is pissing Walt off, and I love Walt :)

Am I alone in having Hank as my favourite character on the show? I detested him at the very beginning but he gradually won me over, and if I'm honest, I hope he cracks the Heisenberg case.

To be fair at the start I hated hank, Loud crude obnoxious, treated his Mrs like Crap, but he really grew on me, especially after
Marie started going crazy and wandering around for sale houses making shit up and stealing
