Television Breaking Bad

Watched Scarface last night, I see uncle Hector pops up in it as Alberto the Shadow. Who knew!

My mum said she wanted a show to watch, so I suggested Breaking Bad, and over the last 3-4 months, she's got through the whole 4 seasons. Tonight, she watched the last 2 episodes. We got to the finale and;

When Gus walked out of the room after the explosion and it showed his face in full, she screamed out "IS HE A ROBOT??!" ... No mum. No, he's not.

feck me, just finished season 4 (took me about 2-weeks to tear through it after the great stuff I'd read here about it)

Unreal season finale.

Unreal finale to a fantastic show.

It's not over yet, you know.

 my mate text me after he the last season thinking it was over aswell, i told him there were 2 more seasons he was over the moon!

fantastic show, salamanca and walts brother in law are fantastic actors

I'm probably in the minority but I didn't enjoy season 3 or 4 apart from a few episodes. They were a massive drop in quality compared to the first two seasons. It's probably a good thing the next season will be the last.

Oh wow. Definitely in the minority in that you're probably the only person. Possibly in the world.

I just think the story went a bit downhill and became too predictable when they started working for Gus. Still a good show mind, and there's not much better than it on TV at the moment.

The backlash has started.

Thank you for those that recommended me Forbrydelsen (The Killing). It is absolutely fantastic.

Watched the 1st episode of season 1, have to say - i didn't expect it would have been as good as it was. Really loved it.. guessing it is going to get better and better?

The season 4 finale is probably the best finale I've seen of any television show. In fact they get better as they go along the finales. 1 & 2 were a bit meh. 3 & 4 fantastic. Judging by that, I reckon they'll pull off a spectacular ending, but I genuinely wouldn't have been pissed if that had been the last episode. It would've worked.

Me too. It did feel like an ending to the show in the way. Only really the very last scene left things open for a big plot in series 5.

Series 5 speculation (Admin edit)
Still, I'm fully sure the writers will kill Walt. Whether it's by his cancer or by Jessie or what not, I don't know.

I'm a little fuzzy over what we're doing now with plot speculation, so I'm just going to put it in a spoiler anyway...I think

Hank will

Because yeah, he's gotta go.

As long as it's pure speculation and not based on anything writers have said or things that have been leaked then no spoilers are needed.

Red Pavan, with the new spoiler policy in mind, I'd get the hell out of this thread asap.

You are also meant to label you spoilers as to their content. In this case "Personal speculation about series 5" would do.

Not really true. Sometimes it is a bit grey as to where discussion of current events in the program stop and speculation about the future start but that comment was plainly about the next series so spoilers are appropriate.

 But it's not based on any proof at all. It's pure opinion on Mockney's part. How the hell could that need spoilers?

Because it isn't discussion of what has happened but rather discussion of what will happen.

The appropriate rule is:

- any and all comment related to future developments must be placed in spoiler tags even if the information comes from an official interview or a "next week on ..." clip at the end of an episode.

I've just watched episodes 10, 11 and 12 of Season 4. 11 was absolutely AMAZING. The ending to 12 was ridiculously tense, what a show. Going to finish it now.

Think that's daft personally. There's absolutely no proof in any way when it comes to personal opinion on future episodes. Fair enough if it's based on an article or rumours going around the net.

But I guess them's the rules.

I think Jesse might kill Walt actually. Or maybe that's too obvious? I don't know, I'm not basing this on anything, it's just what I think. :)

Problem is sometime people are able to speculate to the tee. Last season, a couple of guys figured out the poisoning thing almost entirely as it happened, they did not base it on anything but what they saw on the show. Same with Dexter, while I hate the show now and did not watch the latest season. Last season several predicted the "twist" before hand, now some may not want to know that so I guess better to spoiler such thing.

We all remember VidaRed's "predictions" in the Lost thread.

So basically we use it to keep idiots happy :)

tbh the poison stuff they toyed with it being obvious because the writers wanted us to question whether he'd truly do that and well completely turn into a villainous character.

the dexter one was just ridiculous though, embarrassing writing. most twists become pretty obvious after a while watching tv/movies fairly reguarly, just in time you start to see all the hints and stuff early after seeing them so much previously, but the dexter one was horribly dealt with and then spent like 5 episodes teasing it as if people hadn't figured it out 5 episodes ago, so essentially wasted 5 episodes because they didn't know what else to do. which is fine in 20+ tv seasons, but in 12 episode seasons, it's lazy imo.
