Television Breaking Bad

A doctor. Right.

Well, he is, and you didn't dispute the point. He has vermont plates, he has hair back and it's been about a year.

Can you still with conviction say the cancer is going to get walt?

Not the nazis, the feds, flynn going insane with his crutch, the ricin, the m60 in his boot, jesse...

C'mon.

That was it but what could he have said to the police about them? Did Jesse even know about them prior to the shoot out?

He knows all about Todd murdering the kid. He knows Todd has a crazy uncle with prison connections. He knows about Lydia and the fact that they're still cooking.

Naturally the 'greed' answer is a catch all for anything in the series but realistically they've just offed 2 DEA officers so it's probably wise to get the feck out of dodge or at the very least not start peddling meth back out on to the streets.

Perhaps we'll see them pushing to tie up loose ends next week which spurs Walt into action.

Yeah Todd said "he was out there with those feds, shouldn't we find out what he told them first?".

Unless that was a cover up in front of Walt (doubt it), then that was clearly the main intention.

Wait, todd needs to produce higher quality meth, for lydia. Todd is a pyscho, he doesn't care about the fed.

It does but Todd needs to up his meth game, jesse can teach him, then he can bang Lydia.

They need the confession tape, but that indicts Walter mainly.

Jesse said "I told you everything you wanna know", he also looked completely shocked when Todd showed him the meth lab. Seems clear to me they were questioning him about what he said to the police and then probably copped to the idea that he could help Todd cook.

So Walt's phone call at the end was his way of protecting Skylar and Walt Jr from being seriously implicated or anything I assume?

But that was a great episode

Did you miss that scene? Or do you think they just decided to put on a little skit for Walt? Jesse even says something like "I told you where the tape is just go to the house and get it".

Pretty sure it will be Walt vs Jesse in the end as predicted, only thing to see is how Jesse escapes the Nazis. Now that he has the access to the chemicals he can probably poison them in some way.

Yeah I know and he probably realized that afterwards.

Their main concern was definitely what Jesse had said though. For one, he saw Todd shoot a kid.

True, means Todd is disobeying Walt then but Todd is shrewd as shit.

That always goes well, does disobeying Walt.

Yeah, it could be a case that Walt might hear that his blue meth is back on the market and that's what'll tip him over the edge to go on his rampage against them. It's his proudest creation and in the past he's never tolerated the idea of anyone else cooking it.

At least we can all agree Gomez got the send off he deserves.
Too soon, man.

Not really, I got it a little mixed but I did remember Marie is in some danger now because of it.

That's true but these neo-nazi's don't seem to be the sort overly concerned with that type of shit. I agree Todd is thinking on that level and Jesse makes it clear he's been asked questions but these guys are like desert-shack dwellers, with serious weapons. Jesse isn't the strongest witness in the game.

The thing is they knew Walt could no longer cook for them after Jack killed Hank and stole his money.

Links nicely with the Ozymandias theme too.

What an episode that was, one of the greatest in the entire series imo.

It was giving Jesse up that was the cnuts trick although again it was perfectly understandable at that moment as Walt clearly blamed him for what had just happened to Hank.

We can be sure that those two have unfinished business at least. I have a few ideas as to how that might play out.

With Walt going into that facility with a shit load of fulminated mercury.

I didn't see Walt giving up Jesse as "understandable" either..He was a snivelling, powerless, petulant child for most of the episode, only redeeming himself at the end.

He gave up Jesse because he couldn't deal with his own responsibility. Something he spent the entire episode running from, until finally giving it up for Holly.

Seemed clear that he just blamed him for the whole thing, whether it's understandable or not I dunno, but he needed someone to destroy for what happened to Hank and Jesse was the obvious candidate.

I thought it was because they knew he talked to the police and wanted to find out what he said, no?

Blue meth may make sense, not sure why they had to beat him senseless for that though.
I think it was Todd's way of keeping him alive so he could cook meth. It was just an excuse to stop his uncle from killing him at the last minute. Not sure but I reckon they won't be too happy about Todd keeping him alive to cook. Even if it wasn't that there's every reason for them to be worried about how much the DEA know about Walt. They're just after killing his brother and stealing his money - if he gets caught there's a chance he'll bring them down with him. And there's the potential that Jesse might've told them something about all the prison killings.

Fulminated Mercury?

I don't understand why they're seemingly looking to use Jesse to reconstruct the blue meth when they've just pocketed $79 million?

Seemed pretty understandable to me considering he already wanted him dead two episodes back. And that was before he found out he was working with the DEA.

Hmm yeah, I hadn't considered that Todd may actually just be doing this by his own accord and the others aren't involved. It's possible it was just a ploy by Todd to keep him alive to cook for him, hard to know. Breaking Bad loves flashbacks so it's possible we'll get one of the torture scene and learn more.

By 'understandable' I mean for his character.

It's perfectly logical to think that Walt would blame Jesse in that moment for Hanks death as he's spent the entire series hiding from the reality of his own actions.

Walt earned that money in a year. Imagine how much they could make if they did this for 20 or 30 years?

I think the Jesse hate from Walt was just a culmination of everything, he clearly feels that most of what he's done has been to protect Jesse, even Jane's death, and for Jesse to turn on him like that and ultimately cost Hank's life and all his money basically just tipped him over the edge.

Three months actually.

Definitely seemed like it was Todd flying solo on this one, it's just whether he can get the rest of them on board. They probably don't give a shit now they're filthy rich.

The one flashback I can't wait to see is Jesse's confession. It's bound to come.

Oh, snap.

Only if we're talking about in his own, warped reality.

They'll definitely have Hank in it in some way before it ends so I can certainly see something along those lines happening.
Oh, snap.

Well yeah, obviously.

Why beat the living shite out of poor Jesse when the picture would have made him talk anyway? I'm starting to think these Nazi's are just plain mean.

They didn't give a shit about the purity before they got the money, so it's unlikely to change with it. Todd did though. In part because he seems to quite fancy Lydia, but mainly because he patently idolises Walt, and wants to inherit/live up to his operation.

Oh I agree absolutely, bringing in Jesse to improve the meth is entirely down to Todd. I think ultimately he just wants to start his own meth empire because as you say he was in awe of the power Walt exerted when he was brought into things. What I mean is I'm not sure they'll like the idea of Jesse still hanging around. Firstly they already know he's a "rat" and they'll be itching to "squash" him, secondly they already know he's been a liability in the past and this could come back to bite them in the arse and thirdly it means they're going back on their promise to Walt. They don't have a lot of honour but they take pride in doing the job asked of them. So I think there's the potential for some tension between the family there.

C'mon.

I never said that the cancer was going to get Walt let alone saying it with any conviction.

I simply questioned what would be particularly shallow about such an eventuality.

I don't know what your doctor friend's point is really. Is he suggesting that it's impossible for a man to survive a few months with cancer whilst not receiving treatment? Cancer doesn't stop your hair growing.

I honestly thought that was some of the most uncuntish Walt's ever been. He risked $80million dollars to save Hank's life and cleared Skyler's name ("I built it, I alone!!").

Thinking about it now, previously I was a bit against the idea of Walt being a bit on the fence in terms of his moral aligment at this point, but it was absolutely worth it just for the phone call scene. That was like...one of the best pieces of acting ever. Incredible.

I think the vast majority of views of this video are mine!

Not really, that would be about 10 hours worth...

On a completely different note; the F.B.I agent in the background holding phone recorder was well cast. He's exactly what you'd expect one to look like. Or was he D.E.A - either way, feck it. He looks like an official of the law
