Break the bank for Pato

Skinned Evra a couple of times which is an achievement in itself. I've always looked at him as someone with the potential to be as good as Cristiano. Pace to burn, superb finisher, dribbling ability is fantastic, can play through the middle or on the wings. Kid has everything.

The depressing thing is that he'll end up at Chelsea at some point. Seems he has a love of all things Ancelotti, by all accounts :nervous:

He beat Evra pretty much every time he was up against him, what a myth Evra shackled him. His problem was he didn't receive the ball alot which can be down to his own movement which can be one of his weaknesses.

He needs to find a way to impose himself on games more.

5:44 I don't even know what the feck he did there

No he didn't, the majority of the game Evra got to the ball before him then attacked with it.

sorry mate but evra did not shackle him at all. It was a bit of give and take between them but pato got free 4 or 5 times, which is 4 or 5 times more than most people playing directly against him. He also got through the line for some headers that he missed. Especially the free header he hit over the bar after making a good diagional run.

evra stopped him a few times but there were some brilliant pieces of skill by pato. A must buy if there was ever one, and Fergie usually knows class when he sees it live.

He's injured again for Milan after pulling his hamstring. It seems as if he is starting to become injury prone. It will be a shame if his career is hampered by injuries.

He's still a growing lad. I wouldnt be too concerned yet.

Ronnie on fire, in his prime for me is the most talented player of the last decade. He seems to pick up a man and dribble past his marker so effortlessly it's unreal.

too bad he burnt out so quickly..

Just saw SAF's interview on MUTV where he claimed that they offered £14M for Pato when he was 17 but were obviously out bid by Milan who ended up paying £20M.

I remember last summer some journo on the sunday supplement was absolutley adamant that the deal to take Pato to Chelsea was already done and agreed at the same time as Ancelotti, however because Milan had just sold Kaka it was agreed he would stay another year to appease the fans and the deal wouldn't be annouced until this year.

now obviously anything and everything a journo says about transfers is 99% bollocks but he wouldn't budge on it and was completely convinced it was true.

I dont believe it myself but it has stayed in the back of my mind and i'm keen to see if it does happen, wish i could remember which hack it was tho

Milan To Put Alexandre Pato Up For Sale - Report - Goal.com

Fans of Serie A giants Milan might be in for another excruciating summer as the Corriere dello Sport newspaper claims the Rossoneri are prepared to cash in on star striker Alexandre Pato.

Fellow Brazilian international Kaka left the Rossoneri to join Real Madrid in a €65 million deal last year.

It is believed that Milan have slapped a €55m price tag on Pato and will listen to offers from interested parties in the close season.

Premier League side Chelsea are said to be in pole position to secure the services of the 20-year-old, who would relish the opportunity to link up with former boss Carlo Ancelotti at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues might sweeten the pot by offering defender Branislav Ivanovic in part-exchange.

But they are likely to face fierce competition from Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid, who might use French forward Karim Benzema as bait.

Media in both Brazil and Italy have been reporting some marriage trouble with Pato and his wife Sthefi. Apparently he's been frustrated with injuries and has started to go clubbing with Ronaldinho a lot.

If this is true it might do him good to change his environment and move to England even though I'd rather think Spain was his preferred choice.
