Boehly is going to ruin Chelsea (hopefully)

Extremely silly to judge our team before we’ve even bought a single player to replace all these outgoings, no? If we replace Mount with Nkunku, Koulibaly with Colwill, and an aging, always injured Kante with Caicedo I’d say those are 3 massive upgrades. And literally any natural striker is an upgrade on Havertz who wasn’t a #9.

I am talking about all your buying since Boelhy arrived. A lot of money spent and little to show for it so far. It’s perfectly fine to say it hasn’t been great so far.

We are perfectly fine to give our new signings benefit of the doubt. I mean the well established players from our team like mount, havertz didn't perform well either in fact they became worse as season progressed.

We are optimistic about new season. We will be alright overall coming season. I won't be surprised if we finish among top 5.

I would say that should absolutely be the minimum. Outside of that, serious questions need to be asked of the ownership.

Based on what exactly?

Actually thought Mendy would get another chance but looks like his move to Saudi Arabia is all but done.

Of course he dipped from the highs of 2021 but last season he played a few games at the start and was barely seen again after the World cup.

Can't see Poch just being content with Kepa, actually surprised you're just letting Spurs sign Raya seemingly.

Spurs are not signing Raya, they refused to pay 40m for him so they bought a Italian serie A GK f yesterday for 19m.

We upgraded the manager. Shifting out lot of ageing, injury prone, underperformers with youngsters.

Koulibally- colvill
Azpilicueta-gusto
Havertz-nkunku
Mount-jackson
Ziyech-madueke
Pulisic-mudryk
Kante-caceido?
Kovasic-santos
Loftus-chukwuemeka
Mendy-?

We are creating a young team with pace and energy. We have no European commitment that's big plus for the coach. We will see.

It's not fifa mate, You won't benefit from striping the squad of experienced players.

The only "older" player we're losing who isn't either past it or just crap is Kovacic.

The likes of Koulibaly, Mendy, Auba and Ziyech will be no loss to us as they've been crap or don't play. Even Azpi and Kante are legends but they're both done at the top level.

We didn't benefit much from their experience last season either. Their departure wont impact on our progress. We will be okay.

I knew it's not fifa. Look at the players we offloaded and say whom you think did well last season. We are very much contend with the players we offloaded. We are on our way on the up. :)

I'm not surprised you or they had an off season the amount off field distraction going on with the owners and changing of managers. I believe the departure of experience won't benefit you as much as you hope. And of course you're on the up! Can't get much lower than 12th can you... or can you? Let's see!

Out of the "experienced" players we're losing, we'll miss Kova. That's about it.

We're not losing prime Kante or Azpi. The 2023 versions of those players aren't up to it anymore.

We'll not miss Mendy, KK, Auba or Ziyech at all. Managers changes or not, they've been crap or were not playing anyway.

Upgraded on who, Tuchel, Potter, or Lampard?

You can't be serious. Kova-Santos?? Mount-Jackson?? Azpi-Gusto??

You're betting on getting straight aces and going all in. I'd reserve back some of that hope.

I am not saying they are replacing prime kova, mount and azpi. The last year version of all replaced by better young and energetic players.

Team was stagnated. Too many deadwoods and unhappy players in our squad for past two seasons.

Of course new players that came in January and in this window could flop too but we are willing to take that risk this season.

Having no European commitment will allow us enough time in training ground, bedding in new young players and hoping to move away from possession based slow playing style too.

Sounds to me like high stakes gamble. It may pay off, but doesn't look likely.

Watching this video, its incredible that even though chelsea have all these players, the sqiad is still imbalanced.

Yes it's a big gamble and our owners put all their hope in pochettino s ability to work with youngsters.

Sure it's not going to be an easy ride but considering the players moved from squad i wont shed tears for them. They were not upto the standard and too many injury proned as well.

Now we have technical background team in place things will get normalise. In pochettino board is hoping to get the best out of youngsters we assembled.Pochettino have clean slate of squad. Nothing wrong in it in my opinion.

If the players mentioned moved away we will reduce more than 80 mn in wages alone. At least now we felt like there is some plans in place. We will see.

More likely it'll take a season to gel, finishing top 6 would be a decent season. 7 starters from the first game of last season gone.

Can't think of any teams doing such enormous squad changes so quickly before.

Yeah, you've moved on great players and replaced them with unproven youth players as well as sacking a manager that won things for one that doesn't. So much progress it's unreal.

The new players aren't up to any standard either, they're a bunch of nobodies.
We are willing to take risk with this bunch of nobodies. Let's season start. Then only we can say where we are with this bunch of nobodies. :)

£150M in sales before the end of June. Didn’t really see this happening but really pleased with this window so far.

We have osimhen transfer fee then. 100 mn yearly wages offloaded as well. Still Lukaku and pulisic on their way out. 200 mn through sales albeit for huge losses we saved wages from deadwoods a big plus. :)

Surely Osimhen is after a champions league club?

Madness at chelsea. They seem to think the answer is more transfers. Need to be careful you dont end up with a team of ‘players for tomorrow’ with no real experience or leadership

You can't win anything with kids.

Everyone conveniently forgets that they slotted into a side which had schmeichel, bruce, pallister, irwin, giggs, keane, cole as a core when they quote that.

all Chelseas ‘young players’ have so far shown nothing of note in the EPL and they are adding more unknown quantities to it. Lets face it, all but 2 of these signings could essentially flop or just be bang average. Its not Football manager or FIFA. Selling the players they are before the manager has even had some training sessions is a big mistake IMO

Wage bill had to be dealt with. I don’t see Osimhen going anywhere for €180m. Most that have been sold are deadwood that needed to go last transfer window. I could see us getting Vlahovic.

So you expect Chelsea to wait until what, the middle of July to sanction any sales? So 40 players turn up for preseason and let Poch decide who’s worth keeping?
