Boehly is going to ruin Chelsea (hopefully)

Seen this on Twitter.

Seems applicable.

Twitter in a nutshell. No matter how big a twat someone is and no matter how much he’s fecked you and yours over, rich and powerful men will always have at least one douchebag churning out memes to defend them.

James signed a new contract last year.
And how many many months has he been out injured since then?
Levi Colwill and Reece James are staying.
Seriously? You're rating a young lad who's made zero appearances for Chelsea over a guy who's made over 100 appearances for Chelsea and has been integral to you winning the Champions League? Getting strong "didn't fancy him anyway" vibes already

We really are crying tears over a mid table club who are on the verge of selling us their best academy product in years.

Reece James is easily the best we have produced.

It’s hilarious how Mount is now rated on here. Weird that eh?

I don't think we can really judge the Saudi--Chelsea business until we see who else the Saudis buy from other clubs and for how much. It looks a bit shady but there are reasons for the Saudis to buy these particular players.

Boehly's problems in the end aren't really about FFP but rather about filling up the squad with a random assortment of young seemingly talented players who don't necessarily fit together and may not actually be good enough on an individual basis then hiring a tactically suspect manager like Poch to put the pieces together and get the most out of them. Its not Koulibaly that was going to kill his project (although that deal was awful), its if the likes of Mudryk, Cucurella, Fofana, Madueke turn out to be below the required level.

For years oppo fans are… he’s absolute shite. Their coach wants him and now he is the greatest academy grad. I like Mase, would love for him to stay, but not £350-400k a week love.

Rather ironic that a soon to be Qatari club has fans going nuts over three players being sold to Saudi clubs. Was there this much outrage when players were sold to China?

Boehly and his partners are well connected business men that operate on a global market. They see business opportunities and they take advantage of them quickly, that is just good business.
Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Ah so you’re saying Bohley is orchestrating this?

From a week ago

So you think getting in bed with an outside party to launder you money and /or bail you out if financial is somehow prudent?
What makes this great business?
Remember when Chelsea fans were adamant that PSGs claims a few weeks ago was bullshit as well?
Why am I asking so many questions?
I’m shocked there isn’t a moral debate happening right now between your fanbase by the way.

Imagine posting that meme without irony. Jesus wept. Likely the sort of delusion that thinks someone spending £25m on 31 year old Koulibaly when he’s on 290k a week after the season he has just had when the club he’s at desperately needs to get rid of him isn’t dodgy in any way. I’d love to know what the next best offer was.

I love Mount and I hope he stays but he's never been though of as our top academy product, that's James.
How many PotS has James won for your lot again? Funny how tunes change.

I’m neither a big Mount fan or detractor but come off it.

Selling players to another league is magnitudes less than being a Qatar owned team and yet the majority of your fans are loudly cheering the sale.

You’re not just selling them to the league though.
You’re trafficking them across but somehow it’s great business? You either stand by it or don’t.
At least there’s a large percentage of fans against blood money and there is a debate going. Chelsea fans are either pretending this isn’t happening or telling us what a great idea it is.
But it’ll be another misstep and in 6 months your club will be doing something else out of line. I swear to god it’s like nodding heads, I rarely see a Chelsea fan come out and say you know what, this is pretty fecking sketchy

Finding buyers for players is done all the time. This is really getting to be silly. Saudi teams do not care that the players are on high salaries. It really is good business.

If you want to call ME countries blood money, that is all you. Enjoy being an oil team with that internal conflict raging. I really have zero problem selling players that want to go there for large salaries.

Is that why Chelsea fans voted Mount as their player of the year in two consecutive seasons and James has never won it?

Are you asking if a very outgoing personality like Mount was a pick for fans rather than a quiet personality like James?

These votes are about personality more than skill.

I like Mase, would love for him to stay, but not £350-400k a week love.

Who is going to pay him that?

I don’t rate Mount that highly, but it’s a major symbolic loss for Chelsea. No way around it. It is like United loosing Rashford, City Foden, Liverpool Trent, etc.

I'm not sure I follow that logic as De Gea isn't an outgoing personality and plays in the least exciting position on the pitch but he won our player of the season in 3 out of 4 years.

He wanted Sterling money. The owners really overspent on Sterling and Koulibaly salaries. Luckily Poch is asking them not to do that again because it makes for a bad clubhouse environment. This Mount wanting to leave is our own doing and you are right, it is a bad look. It is not however a player that cannot be replaced.

Yeah, would definitely wait a bit before making any decisions on how shady or not shady this all is. My expectation is the Saudis will throw money at just about everyone and see what sticks. Now it just so happens we've got multiple players we're looking to get rid of and who fit exactly the profile of player the Saudis seem to be primarily going for (high profile, ageing, preferably Muslim) but if the Saudis buy or at the very least try to buy similar type of players from other clubs as well then it would obviously be a lot less shady?

Clearlake are definitely in bed with PIF but I don't think I'm wrong when I say the PIF hold exactly zero shares in Chelsea. Clearlake used their own money to buy the club and none of the 300+ parties who have investments with them own any stakes in the club, though obviously them doing business together and having a close relationship will make doing mutual football business together a lot easier.

Just think Chelsea have a lot of old dead wood that Saudi will be interested in...

Also, they're all Muslims so will be easier to convince them to join the Saudi league.

People accusing Chelsea and the Saudi's fail to realise that there's an actual club in England owned by the Saudi's and not one of them have even been linked with a move.
Once you start seeing Karius and Dan Burn to Saudi for 50 Mill then you can start asking question...

Chelsea have FFP problems to solve urgently
PIF has a stake in Chelsea
Chelsea owner visits Saudi
Saudi clubs are linked with 3 Chelsea players (Ziyech, Mendy and Koulibaly) who they are struggling to sell off in Europe
FFP problems solved

Voila. Conspiracy? What conspiracy?

You’re gonna have back this up with something because this is a genuine falsehood you have mentioned multiple times.

before he started with his mental health problems and splitting up with his girlfriend ..I don't know if he will ever get back to normal, running around like a headless chicken and being really aggressive, it hasn't looked very good for a long time now

"purely transactional and down to the club’s popularity in the Middle East"

Let's see if there's this same energy if this one goes through, somehow I imagine not!

There’s a touch of realism to that valuation of Son. Ziyech and Koulibaly, not so much.
If last season is anything to go by Son is very much on the decline everybit as much as Kouli is.

Son's superstar is still realms above Koulibaly's. A national icon and probably the greatest Asian player ever.

You're right that there is no legal agreement available signifying PIF investment directly into Chelsea. However, there are clear links between PIF and Boehly https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...di-arabia-pif-clearlake-capital-b2360204.html

But we can probably close our eyes and say that PIF and Boehly are completely independent of each other and these Saudi deals are just a matter of coincidence. Or we can live in the real world.

And this is exactly my worry if Qatar become our owners. Our fanbase, similar to Chelsea, will have to shut their senses and rely on the deniability afforded by loopholes, while knowing the whole truth
