Body Found in Tia Sharp's Grandmother's house

Well, I didn't expect to be reading about Stalin in this thread. Has he been implicated in any way with the intended subject of the body in the house?

Wait 'til the next Amis novel.

This handsome fella almost became one.

That's just Stalin with inflating hair.

Well, this thread got a little bit out of hand, didn't it?

There's not much new...news, mate. Besides, it's such an awful and somewhat predictable outcome that it's not easy to discuss in depth. :(

Yep. Just over half a page about the case itself, 5 and a bit pages about classes and the rest about Stalin, Guevara and other things.

There hasn't really been any updates since the OP apart from a post saying the grandmother and a neighbour have been arrested as well and another that mentioned the police making an error in the search.

It is on topic - it's just less painful to talk about major apocalyptic long-ago evil vs the mundanity of some poor kid being murdered a few miles down the road.

I bet the massive criticism the police are receiving in the 'papers has nothing to do with the fallout from the hacking scandal. No siree...

Don't think much of these new Warrior kits, tbh.

Stuart Hazell has been charged with murder.

Stuart Hazell Charged With Murder

Stuart Hazell has been charged with the murder of 12-year-old schoolgirl Tia Sharp.

The 37-year-old, who is the boyfriend of Tia's grandmother, will appear before magistrates on Monday, August 13.

Tia was reported missing on August 3. Her body, which has not yet been formally identified, was found at the home of her grandmother Christine Sharp, in New Addington, Croydon, on Friday.

The woman, 46, has been released on bail following her arrest on suspicion of murder, Scotland Yard said.

Officers have also freed Ms Sharp's next-door neighbour on bail pending further inquiries. Paul Meehan, 39, was detained by detectives on suspicion of assisting an offender.

After Tia was reported missing nine days ago a massive search was launched involving more than 80 police officers, along with members of the local community.

Despite searching Ms Sharp's terraced property four times, police only discovered the body on Friday and have since apologised to Tia's mother for not finding it sooner.

A post-mortem examination on the body is expected to continue today.

Flowers, teddy bears and candles remain near Ms Sharp's house after neighbours and friends left tributes to Tia.

One message read: "Tia Sharp, beautiful angel, taken too soon, our thoughts are with all of you."

So is there any more light on what / how it happened?

Was it a drug fuelled accident, was it a planned murder?. Im just very confused/angry by the whole situation.

Hiding the body in the garden does not sound like a plan of somebody who had been planning it for a while.

It was in the garden? I thought it was in the loft?

Perhaps i have read it wrong but they say they have the area of the garden / path behind the house cordened off for DNA purposes?.

Either way if your planning a murder surely keeping the body in the grandparents house isnt a good idea.
