Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

"Not only that, I fear that there's a conspiracy amongst the 'so called big European clubs, in agreeing not to sell to us either... While, at the same time, quite happily doing so amongst themselves. (for massively over inflated fees).

Perfect way of ensuring that the quality of our squad will slowly deteriorate, over time, (Look what's happened since 2012) ensuring that we will "soon be put back in our rightful place," and no longer pose a threat to "the elite""

That's verging on dipper-like levels of conspiracy theory.

Wouldn't it be fecking amazing if it was true though. I'm picturing a wood paneled drawing room, filled with bourgeois motherfeckers from the old European elite, smoking pipes in cushty armchairs and thinking up ways to feck City and PSG over!

Welcome to Manchester, one down, three to go!

This is a very astute piece of business on our part.

When you consider we got £2.5m for Sinclair, we are getting an England international for £5.5m.

We tried to buy him for double that price when he was at Leeds and he is has come a long way since then.

He has desire and the legs to give us a major uplift.

And call it football karma. We lost a £20m rated player for free the other week and we are replacing him with a younger upgrade who would also cost £20m plus in normal circumstances.

He absolutely bossed us at the Etihad the other month and dragged Villa back into that game.

Nice work.
Yesterday

Thats going to harm them considering the homegrown ruling. Also means other clubs can increase the English tax when dealing with City knowing they're going to be a bit desperate. Love it.

Anyone else think we should sign Delph now to Piss off city, and Leeds?

City might need to change their use of English (HG) players,if they dont find someone good enough to be part of the squad willing to sit on the bench most of time for $$$,they will be forced to spend tones for English players who are overrated and overpaid to have them in first XI.Something like Sterling case, now Liverpool can drain City, same scenario for players like Kane,Jack W. (if he would want to leave) etc.

They can replace 2nd keeper with an Englishman. Promote some youth to fill numbers, and sign some other english players.

Oh what a time to be alive. Now, if Liverpool could play hardball for a few more weeks that would be great. Maybe even ask for 70m to see how they react.

Yea i know but they to promote some youth? Not sure they gonna take that path and they can sign some other English players, can they find some good enough for decent money, ready to fill numbers is another question.

Was just reading Bluemoon for the first time in a while... and on every single page you see 'rag'. It's seriously pathetic but also quite endearing how obsessed they are with us! I obviously don't like City, but I certainly hate Liverpool a lot more and care about what they're doing... City hardly ever cross my mind in fact.

Even when they were talking about the new Prem ball they were saying shite like 'the rags even get their own ball now' because it's got a bit of red on  Hilarious website. They also think Schweini will be shite purely because he's the wrong side of 30, although one poster reminded them of his brilliant performance in the World Cup final less than a year ago.

I'm a little pissed he isn't going... He would probably make them worse and be an addition to the squad numbers.

Delph would get into the City midfield as it is now, so you have to assume that he has an idea of other targets City are after in the middle of the park. Either that or he has so little faith in his own ability to displace Fernando; In which case, shame on him.

Or maybe there are other reasons we have no idea of.

They've gone from being incredibly smug that they're getting Pogba, to being rejected by Delph in a week

They think Aston Villa and Liverpool are big European clubs?:wenger:

Fernando's more of a holding midfielder right? I think Delph's a better player, but I don't think he would start purely out of virtue of his style of play. He would play a lot however.

I don't think you can critique him for a lack of ambition. The Euros are looming and remaining captain of Villa, where he plays week-in, week-out and can showcase his ability more frequently than he would at City, will improve his prospects of getting called up.

Read a tweet yesterday that we could have the first midfield with 3 stages of evolution like Pokemon with Sneijder-Schneiderlin-Schweinsteiger but tbf City are much closer to this, they only need to sign Leroy Fer.

Fer-Fernando-Fernandinho.

And here I thought Nando's evolved into Fernando, and Fer evolved to Ferdinand.

I was looking at Bluemoon the other day and they were taking the piss out of us for getting snubbed by all the top players. They got snubbed by fecking Fabian Delph.

So glad Delph was smarter than Sinclair and Rodwell.

 as if they got turned down by Delph. A player who'd rather play in a relegation scrap than sign for them. That's made my day. Massive club.

Talking about Bluemoon always mentioning Utd, City fans used to be absolutely obsessed with Utd pre money. Their own seasons were usually dull and dreary shite so I think the biggest thrill for them was beating us in the derby or watching us lose. They'd cheer on Chelsea and Arsenal. I think overall the obsession has cooled a bit as they've had their own success but it's still there and it probably always will be.

That film they made a few years ago to celebrate finishing 5th had City fans who refused to let their children have red crayons or pens to draw with. Real loonies. The city cafe at the Etihad put dye in the ketchup so it would be blue instead of red.

You don't get any Utd fans that hate city enough to pull that sort of daft shit. That said the dislike is building and the Derby win last season was as sweet a moment we've had in ages, it felt magic. The hatred is definitely more even now than it was pre 2008.

It doesn't matter that Delph turned them, they are going to be signing Pogba very soon.

I don't think Pogba's happening for them...I can see them going for the likes of Barkley or Wilshere next, they will start to get a bit desperate! The funny thing is, I think a lot of footballers are thinking like Delph now, despite the attraction of earning sky high wages and such, I think footballers are beginning to learn more minutes means more exposure which leads to more opportunities in their short careers.
