Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

They were convinced they were getting Sterling, De Bruyne, Wilshere and Pogba and if Liverpool hold onto Sterling the meltdown will be glorious! Who's world class and available in the market if those players are not? I'd imagine PSG be a bigger pull than them (taking out United, Chelsea, Madrid, Barcelona & Bayern)

They might find the transfer market tough this year.

This summer it really seems like they are completely free from FFP. The fines are the only teeth. In essence they have said they won't be fining them. they will load up on expensive signings would be my guess, and then pay no fine or a tiny fine. But we'll all have to wait and see

I doubt it to be honest, they'll get Sterling no doubt but will pay crazy money for him, Pogba isn't joining,
De Bruyne I would doubt too, who really is there that they could get will really improve them, Delph, Fabhino, Hamsik etc certainly won't.

There is a laughable thread on bluemoon right now about how they should go for Di Maria , and I think this is half the point, the players just aren't there, most of the top players are tied to clubs that don't want/need to sell, and likely if they did they'd have offers from elsewhere and wouldn't join them.

For me the crucial thing with all this relaxing FFP is that City, and PSG don't run the rule on how football will go in the future, they are mid sized clubs with rich owners, owners that are using them to promote their own countries and brands, clubs like us, Real, Barca, Juvenetus etc are run within their means and ultimately won't tolerate these two clubs dictating how things will work.

I actually thought I was alone in thinking this.

No, I'm with you and @Gambit (two weeks later ).

I always thought all the hard ons for Pogba were largely people annoyed he ever left int he first place and wanting him back. I'm the complete opposite, he chose to leave, done well for himself, good for him, but I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole not just for the fees quoted but much lower ones. Don't want.

who's that tomie taboo and what the hell does that person have to do with anything?

He often makes cryptic statements on transfers, making it seem to most of them he is ITK without actually claiming he's in the know. He gets some stuff right, some stuff wrong, but he's regarding of the messiah when ever he pops up and says something.

and they believe such a tool...

Basically, apparently that Tolmie guy has inside info on their transfer dealings and he's been right in the past....................... and also wrong.

Though they like to remember the times he's been right.

Well today he's posted 'Welcome to Manchester' in Pogba, De Bruyne, Sterling, and Delph bids and they all going nuts it's done deals.

If everybody stick with their valuations, that's almost £190 million on 4 players

He's also put 'thanks for everything' in Dzeko and Jocavic(sp?) threads.

isn't it a case of "throw everything to see that sticks"?

Pretty much, mainly stuff that media have already suggested.

I don't think iv'e seen him call something completely out of left field or 'broke' a story himself.

The Tolmie guy does talk some shit. Always posting youtube videos supposedly with hidden clues of who we're supposed to be signing - an obvious attention-seeking ploy. And when he does put his neck on the line, he isn't always right. I recall he announced we had signed Fabregas last summer before he went to Chelsea. My personal opinion is he does occasionally have some genuine inside information at the club, he just chooses to exaggerate what he is told or outright make it up when he gets bored.

Could just be relating it to the removal of FFP on City, and assuming that they will now have the muscle to make those big deals. Seems a bit of a stretch that 3 massive deals like that, a combined total of close to £150M, would all be completed on the same day so early in the window.

I think that's his ploy, he's quite cryptic most the time. So it a nice bit of fallback if he get's it horribly wrong.

I doubt that, seems like a typical case of following the Goebbels' guideline

When people have got angry at him for making claims that don't materialise he's not been banned because a couple of the moderators know him personally and have vouched for him. Plus, he has called some stuff right in the past including mundane stuff like a new sponsorship deal being announced.

He is also know to the owner of the forum who vouches for his credibility.

Does the forum or its owners have an official tie-up with the club in general?

I don't see how 6 deals can all of a sudden spring into life at the same time. It wouldn't surprise me if more than a few of those aren't resolved come August.

Ha Ha, I like your style.

Their fecking obsessed with us, this thread gets bumped once in a while, their United thread goes hundreds of pages in no time and then they have to start a new one.

Inferiority complex cnuts.

And oh, Tolmie is an attention seeking whore and his little minions will be left devastated when Sterling is there only big signing of the summer.

Their forum, aesthetically at least, is pretty hideous.

Page inflation, 10 posts per page compared to 40 here.

This has been our thread for 5 years, they literally have to make new threads all the time after posting 'scum', 'rag' etc as single word posts on a daily basis.

Citeh have enough money and weak spots to improve. They could bring in Rodriguez from Wolsfburg to play LB, a young CM/DM like Xhaka or Tielemans and an AM/W like Fekir. Even if they can't get established stars like Pogba and De Bruyne it's not like there's really a shortage of potentially great footballers in the world. More risk in going younger, but they brought in Barca's old front office to do something, right?

Delph is apparently going to be their first big signing

I actually reckon Delph is going to be good for them in the same way Blind has been good for us. I just have a hunch he's one of those players who will... not make a step up, exactly, but be revealed to have been a step better than people thought all along. He has the potential to do Fernandinho's job better than Fernandinho does. His attitude and work rate, if nothing else, are a big step up on any of City's current central midfielders.

Still not a 'big' signing though.
