To be fair, a lot of our fans have been and are still saying the same things. That to compete with Bayern and such, we need to go out and just buy. Some even put it down to our transfer record not being big enough of a sum last summer.
Just took a trip over to Blue Moon to see now that they've calmed down what their take on the game was, instead they're arguing over who's stadium is further away from Manchester centre ffs
Yeah don't forget, herrera should actually have been sent off for his slide on Slippy G, and not Stevie. Ditto DDG for daring to leave his trailing leg in Skrtel's path.read a bit of both rawk and bluemoon and all our goals were offside and fellaini and jones should of been sent off.
corruption etc.
See what I am talking about? If our fans are talking like that, how can we criticize other fans for the same attitude? And no, buying is only one step of the way, the other is a coaching set up that competes. Bayern did both excellently. In England, we seem to always think that it's just a matter of putting a bunch of talented players and it's going to take care of itself, when it doesn't, we just go on and whinge how those players are simply not good enough. No wonder we do since we have people with your attitude.Err to compete with Bayern we certainly would need to "just buy"!
Duggan apologises for LVG snap
Manchester City Women striker Toni Duggan has issued an apology to fans after posting a photograph on Instagram taken with Louis van Gaal, hours after Manchester United's 4-2 win in the derby.
Duggan was celebrating City’s FA Women’s Cup quarter-final win over Birmingham with team-mates Izzy Christiansen and Michelle Hinnigan at Wing’s restaurant in Manchester when the group bumped into United boss van Gaal.
The 23-year-old, who joined City from Everton in 2013, and who has also made 16 appearances for England, was subjected to abuse on social media after her posting, which was subsequently deleted.
Duggan said: "I would like to apologise to all MCFC fans for the error of judgement I made last night.
"I now appreciate the significance of my actions and can assure everyone connected with Manchester City that I am proud to represent the club and wear the shirt."
Duggan has just returned to action following a knee injury which forced her to miss England’s prestige friendly with USA and the Cyprus Cup triumph last month.
The forward scored the opener in City’s 3-1 win over Birmingham on Sunday. City now face Chelsea on May 3 for a place in this year’s historic FA Women’s Cup final at Wembley
He's 38. Doubt City have players older than that.
The question I would ask is why we don't have a ladies team. Most of the bigger clubs do, and the ones in Manchester would clearly prefer to be wearing red shirts.
Did have one, Glazers dumped it in 2005 cause it wasn't part of the 'core business'
Not really the thread for starting that discussion, but I'd say no, not with our manager. Not a meltdown but I saw this, - "Dedryck Boyata is set to leave Manchester City this summer, which means none of the 2008 FA Youth Cup-winning team are still at the club" - , in the evening papers and thought wasn't City's youth academy starting to sprout wings. Is it a reflection that the EPL is a significant jump from youth, youth players not growing through lack of playing times, or because clubs prefer to buy the ready product.
We have a number of good young players, but if we buy heavy in the summer, our youth will also not get to play, is this the future?
Unbearable c**ts. Can't wait to beat them next season, and this time I'm going to be un-fecking-bearable. I've taken it easy on them this season (and last), but by feck, the c**ts have not just crawled from under their stones, they've come fecking sprinting out bawling and fecking shouting. I'd actually forgotten how much I actually hate the c**ts.
Let's see how the c**ts perform now with a bit of pressure on them. As long as we stay within a couple of points of them, I think they could well bottle it. I'd love to take 3rd off the dirty c**ts on goal difference!
Finally got a reply from the plastic armchair rag I know...
And this just sums the softarses up..
He texted back, and I quote.. "am out and don't know the score, I'm recording it so thanks.."
This from a fella with previous toys out the pram behaviour, the same plastic rag who always knows the rag score if they win, head meets sand when they lose..
feckin laughable.
I can never ever forget how much I hate the bastards. It's part of my molecular stucture, my DNA. In fact I get up an hour earlier each morning so that I have more time to hate them.

City fans get used to it when most of the crowd in their stadium are empty plastic seats. This motherfecker's a furniture whisperer, amazing.

@BobbyManc do you know a certain AntMcfc who is "infamously banned from all MCFC-related forums for hard-hitting truth?"
Nope
Is it actually the case??Exactly. The mods have prevented him from signing up here to avoid him hitting you hard (and all other innocent City fans) with hard-hitting truth.
I was just reading the last few pages of their Utd thread and feck me, there is some absolute ridiculous shite in it. If anyone wants a laugh, go and have a read.
Oh and they are also creaming themselves over how 'powerless' we are over losing DeGea. And how we are going to accept £15 for him and that shows how bad our finances are because we would let him go for that amount instead of keeping him for a year.
What a load of absolute tosh.
Pogba believes/knows he will sign for us this summer, juventus are the only potential stumbling block but this deal will go through this summer
If we pull this off, we should turn around and go get Marco Reus. 60 million Euros should do it. Then turn around get Sterling. Then rest.
I'm looking forward to another 'Welcome to Manchester' poster when this goes through
I think their bubble has burst to an extent. Many more Clubs can pay top salaries now, so their near monopoly was short lived. Coupled with this, their poor showing in Europe, I believe will put off the 'top' names. They'll also have to reconcile with the problem we've had - neither of us are in London.
Not sure how "turning round" helps with signing players??They believe they're getting Pogba (couldn't find a city thread):
They seem quite bullish about signing a lot of players (top players) this summer after that interview from the owner the other night.

When is the last time they signed a top class player? since their coup of Silva, Toure and Aguero that summer a few years back, they haven't signed any other players of that quality. The likes of Bony, Fernandinho and Navas are all a big step below. Sterling too.
If Aguero is poached by Madrid, they will be in big trouble IMO.
What was it?They believe they're getting Pogba (couldn't find a city thread):

Is there also not the slight issue of they need to acquire more than just one English player?
What was it?
Their "Watch this space" momentTheir owner on TV mentioning how they will be aggressive in the market this summer.
