Gaming Bloodborne (PS4)

I found "the girl in the window". She gave me the music box. Is there a certain tactic to using it?
When you use it against Gascoigne, he stops mid fight to hold his head for a few seconds letting you get a few easy hits off. Not sure how many times you can use it, at least 3 I think.

Played for two hours or so, keep dying to the guy with the axe near the start, but eventually got to the first boss, but I only had three blood vials and died when the boss was at around half health. So far I've found it about as tough as Dark Souls, although there are a lot more enemies, and the risk of swarming is pretty big. Love the saw weapon though, too badass.

Finally beat Gazza. For people struggling I recommend staying close to him to avoid his gun and so you can regen health when he does hit you. I had the Hunter clothes on and I think that helped prevent some damage.

I beat him (Gasgoigne) again with my 2nd character, this time trying the music box. I saved it for his beast form at the end and it only stunned once so I'm guessing you get a single stun during that form. He was a one shot using the axe, cleric was a one shot too. I'm not even using a strength character and the axe is still making it easy with highest stats skill and bloodtinge

Definitely bring a molotov cocktail or two for the end of Gascoigne in case it gets hairy, in fact they are good to have for the last stage of any of the fights. Just throw them when the boss has finished its attacks and you're at a good range and they do good damage

Beat
Vicar Amelia & The Witch both on my first try today
5 bosses now :).

Okay, so I can get this or Hardline for £25 or GTA V for £20. Which do I choose? Keep in mind that I've already played GTA V on the PS3. Saying that, GTA V is the best online gaming in the history of time, so that's why I'm leaning towards it. I do really like the look of Hardline and Bloodborne though.

Just started playing. Such a beautiful game. Does it save automatically or do you have to go to some sort of checkpoint before turning off?
Exiting the game saves it automatically. You'll pick up exactly where you left off when you continue.

Beat the Cleric Bastard after 4 or 5 attempts.

Bloodborne without a doubt. Its a game you can easily put in over 100 hours and it doesn't get boring, and after you beat the normal game, ng+ starts and you can get other things and everything is way more difficult. Hard line I'm assuming will be like standard battlefield, and GTA 5 is GTA 5.

Just beat Father Gascoigne, took a few attempts, man he can combo you so easily. Not sure where to go now, was hoping for more echoes after the fight, heart still beating though haha.

Stay very close to it because this way it can't hurt you, use blood vials every now and again and beat it with your right handed weapon and a torch. It won't take more than 5 minutes to kill it that way.

Thanks, I finally managed to beat him last night and it was the best feeling ever.

Go through the massive gate at the back, up the steps. He drops the key for it when you beat him.

Has anyone got the online to work? Have tried to ring the bell to help others and also the bell to attack others but it never connects???

I asked the same thing yesterday. It appears they're down. Spectres rarely work either.

I feel like I'm finally in the groove now, not dying nearly as often and only tend to be taken out by Werewolves and bosses. Just got beat by the Bloodlust demon or whatever it's called. Nearly beat him on my first attempt. It was the poison that killed me rather than an attack.

I really like Old Yharnam, a good place to farm Echoes and it usually loops back near the lamp so not too much back tracking if you want to go level up.

Never used to invade but have used it several times to call people for co-op. Most of the time you have to wait though for someone to finally connect. What I usually do is just leave it on in the background after ringing the bell and eventually someone joins the game.

Bloodborne is excellent, but GTA 5 for £20 is a steal.

Bloodborne is one of the best games I've ever played, but I can only enjoy it in short spurts and it's taken me ages to understand what the feck I'm doing. If you want a game you can dive straight into, it has to be GTA at that price.

Get GTA. Bloodnorne is great but it isn't for everyone, GTA is far more approachable - great game.

Thanks for replies. Maybe it will work a bit better soon hopefully.

Bought this but I'm at work til 11pm so might get an hour in before bed.

Just beat Father Gazza! :D The game is so intense and creepy that I can only play for an hour or so at a time. Went up through the cathedral after killing him and stumbled upon these giant dudes in white coats, noped outta there, saved game and turned off.

Holy crap I just found some kind of hidden boss. It tore me to pieces! Hardest one I've faced.
on a roof in the forbidden woods there's a guy whos messing around with dead bodies. He's seemingly murdered a family. If you talk to him he asks for a safe place to go. I decided he was a cnut and killed him but he transformed into a fecking huge monster

Does anyone know how high you can fall without dying? I'm stuck in a high area that you meet a witch doctor woman who gives you Bold Hunters Mark.. I can't get down. Any ideas?

You trust that? They can easily deactivate your device though?
Not once you've downloaded the game, you make your own account primary again and the game stays permanently. I think they're fairly legit and are getting the games a lot cheaper (due to location) and are using the loophole of selling the account and not the game to avoid any taxes/dues etc. I'll take a punt on them, will have full paypal protection anyways.

Quite high, I think.

I fell from the rafters in the building near the sewers all the way to bottom with the rats and still had a small bit of health left until the rats ganged up on me and killed me straight away.

I love the cooperation between players with the messages. I had worked my way through a fair stretch, just past the bridge over the giant pig and I saw a message that said "Beware, beast ahead." I wasn't sure if it was a boss or a just a normal enemy but I used a Bold Hunter's Mark to teleport back to the lamp so I could level up just in case it was a boss. If I had wandered in not knowing, I'd have been killed and lost all my echoes.

Have people tried the chalice dungeons yet? I did the first one but was a bit disappointed with the rewards. Didn't get any interesting items and only around 8k souls.

Yeah, if you send him to the cathedral then he kills everyone there, but he gets killed or something if you send him to other clinic.

Apparently gets a lot more difficult and rewarding in the later ones, the first one was pretty easy.

You saying they are? Or that they could just change it.

Dunno. Maybe on PS4 that'd work but it wouldn't on Xbox. If the account that owns the game changes it's home console then the console/accounts won't be able to access it.

I'm saying that website seems really fecking shady.

Wouldnt trust as unless I'm mistaken they can just deactivate the console (change home) as a device for that account and it will no longer be accessible. That's definitely the case on Xbox One and 99% sure it's the same on PS4.

I told him to go to the Cathedral so glad I decided to kill him (in his human form anyway). He has well and truly rinsed me tbh. It's the first time I've had this kind of problem in the game because I took him on so many times that I've used all of my blood vials up. I had tons of them but I guess taking something on ten times using a lot of them each time they soon disappear. I guess I better go and farm for some. Worst bit is I got him down to tiny bits of health on the last couple of tries but he's so quick and powerful in his last stage that I didn't beat him. :(

Beat a third boss today
The blood starved beast. Took me about 4 or 5 tries. His poison attack is ridiculously annoying.
I got some sort of chalice for beating him but I have no idea what to use it for.

Just beat Blood Starved beast. Easiest boss yet IMO. Beat him on my second attempt once I knew to have antidotes equipped.

Will probably leave it for the evening now. Not really sure where to go and I'll be up all night if I'm not careful.
