Wouldn't you think one of Mata/Martial will go if we were to bring in 2 attackers who slot into the first XI quite easily? One of those 2 (Mata/Martial) will end up playing about the same number of minutes as Rooney did this year, and neither will want that obviously.

No because theres these things called injuries and squad depth. We lost 3 midfielders in Jan that werent replaced and we need a stronger squad.

With Rooney in decline and Ibra's career, at Utd, over, it wouldn't make sense to let Mata( one of our most consistent performers) go.

What it can definitely mean is that Januzaj, Pereira and Lingard will have to put up honest fight for the place in the squad. Some of them may leave indeed but I think it was Mou who said that he'll want to keep the squad without too many drastic changes.

Hate to be that guy, but when I first saw him play, he reminded me of Messi. If that's anything to go by we should outbid anyone that is in for him.
I don't mind if we miss Griezmann. Get Bernardo Silva, get Andrea Bellotti, get Rashford and Martial in top form and we will tear down defences.
Would love Griezmann here, despite my concerns over how he fits, but I'd agree with this. Would make for a more balanced team, provided we bring in a quality DM as well.
Mata deserves every praise but frankly, I will swap him for an attacking midfielder with close ball control, dribbling skills, speed, and a great eye for goals.
I can admit I don't know enough about Bellotti and Griezmann probably is the safer bet, but there is something really intriguing about Bellotti. He's going to end up at Chelsea though, I just have that feeling. Mind, I would not be upset if we get Griezzou instead.
He has similar characteristics to Mkhi but Mata? Apart from being Iberian and left footed playing behind the main striker, the similarities end. In terms of playing style, Neymar is probably just as close to Silva as Mata is.
You just described Mata except for speed. However, surround Mata with pacy players and he'd be just as good as any attacking midfielder.

We need two players to replace Ibra and Rooney, there is no need to sell any one else.
He'll be a brilliant, brilliant signing. Bernardo is also quite versatile so I am sure he'll fit in whatever formation we play next year. Get him and Griezmann and we'll have best attack in the league hands down.
Andrea Bellotti.
Think Drogba or Lewandowski. A pure breed target man. A number 9 in the real sense of it.
Strong lad, quick, packs a good shot, great in the air plus a good enough balance to be a baller. Very dangerous in the box. He's young and he plays for Torino meaning whether we qualify for CL or not, won't matter much to him at the moment.
Griezmann is not a pure breed number nine. He is more versatile and has already hit the highest heights of the game hence, the appeal for him is understandable. But Andrea Bellotti is as good as you get if you want a younger, cheaper, hungry and deadly pure breed striker. Jose seems to like such target men.
Speed and dribbling. Mata is no dribbler. He is intelligent with passes and finding spaces but he is certainly not a dribbler.
Don't get me wrong, I am a Mata fan. I just think that right now the team needs players who can carve tight defences open and brilliant dribblers with speed, do that well.
To be more specific, if I had to choose between B.Silva and Mata at this moment in their careers and considering what I have seen of United this season, it will be a no brainer for me. I'll go for Silva. He can offer what Mata offers plus more.
We'll see. His father said that his future will become clearer in the summer so i guess we will know more then. But i don't think he will be here next season personally. Especially if this is true about Bernardo Silva.
He's like a Januzaj who fullfilled all his potential.
I think Bernardo is yet to hit his ceiling. Quite a plenty room for further improvement.
