I'm interested to know how any of you guys thought a deal could be announced over the weekend when Spurs have to inform the stock exchange of any deals first.
The Stock market being closed all weekend would have prevented a deal being reported officially even if one had happened.
A lot of muppets, myself included, wasted a large part of their weekend constantly refreshing various internet sites.

The Bavarians have been linked with wantaway Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov and Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Anatoli Timoschuk, but Hoeness says he is happy with the squad coach Jurgen Klinsmann already has at his disposal.
"We are not going to dip into our funds anymore," he revealed to Premiere television.
"We will keep hold of our money and see how the team develops between now and the winter."

I think the lesson to be learnt from this is stay well clear of these kind of threads in the future. I learnt my lesson from the tevez thread, its just not worth your time constantly checking to see if something has happened or not. If something does happen, you will eventually find out.
