I still reckon he will join them. They seem to be the only team who want him, and will pay near the asking price. They have gone very far down the road to let him slip away now.

Apparently it's true. It's a thread on it in the Man Utd forum.

It's not true until he passes his medical. Spurs fans jumping the gun a bit. I mean, this is saha we're talking about

He's a quality player and I for one can't wait to see him holding up the number 9 Manchester United shirt. Cantona was hardly Mr.Happy when he was with us, he had a reputation as a bit of a sulk but look what Fergie got out of him. I'm not comparing Berba in anyway to King Eric yet, but just let's wait and see is all I'm saying ;)

Tevez has been our best player in pre-season without doubt, but his work has been usually out of the danger areas.

before eric cantona joined us, he had a reputation too. At United berbatov knows he'll play in all the top competitions and that is a massive help in relaxing these sorts of players. I wouldn't worry about his temperament.

You have to remember when sir Alex signs players, he doesn't go just by technical ability but by their character. So he will know everything about the lads make up - and if he does go for him then there's no worries. There is no better man manager then sir Alex for me
 
feck me if we don't get a striker in now we are seriously short of experienced front men.

could turn out to be a good four given time.

Im glad weve put the saha saga behind us and i wish him well at everton and hope he can enjoy the rest of his career.
But this just emphasises our NEED to sign a striker, berbatov, henry....arshavin?

i concur. that would be a scarily good team with hargreaves/anderson/carrick/scholes sitting as the 2. infront of rooney, ronaldo, tevez and berbatov with the likes of nani and giggs on the bench. :drool:

with the 4-2 sitting and the 3-1 being completely interchangeable , as they are, footbal wise, 4 very intelligent front players - it could be one of the best sides anywhere .... in theory ...

looks like his mobiles ringing in his back pocket, he senses it, it excites him alittle and then he get's a wild thought of Sir Alex calling him up asking him to fook spurs and join United. No doubt about it :p
 
let's sign someone else.
He's not my first choice anyway, but now with Saha leaving + Dong beeing sold we really lack strikers.

bear in mind though he is smiling and maybe that's his way of telling the media that he knows somethings in the process of happening. Or maybe not

There would be a logic in letting berbatov play against chelsea and the clubs might come to an agreement. I think he'd want to go out with a bang and that would be beneficial to spurs even if his futures not there

Also it means you don't have to throw new players in, into a must win game really if they've ambitions to finish 4th or 5th this season
