It will keep the thread going at least.
Which of course is crucial.

The feeling won't leave me that Berbatov will end up at Madrid, with Saviola going to Spurs as part of the deal.
Saviola is No.9 at Real, which would then become Berbatovs.
We end up with nobody and Levy gets one over on Ferguson.
The rest of the Premier League laugh at us.
No transfers this year.
Well it was deadline day we signed Wayne Rooney on, so until the window closes I'm remaining confident.
Cashley Cole signed for Chelsea on deadline day last year too. That was drawn out in a similar fashion to this one.
well we've a few new young players, it's not as desperate as some make it sound. We've still saha but Manucho is an unknown quantity. If he can get himself 10+ goals, it all helps
Last year?

The year the before I meant
fecking hell.
Are you going to repeat this same "feeling" (with absolutely no substance, other than your own paranoid thoughts) every single day?
Petrucci, Manucho, Silva twins
It will be dissapointing if we dont get a striker. I mean its not as if we didn't knew that we needed a striker. The club had over a year to secure one and yet failed to do so.
2 years actually.
We never replaced Van Nistelrooy.
You know guys, if we'd just signed Tevez and Hargreaves last summer, and Nani and Anderson this summer, we'd be here now happy as hell, not even bothered about a new striker.
I think it's just the boost factor that a new signing gives everyone that's the issue at present.
We do need a new striker though, and has been a pressing issue for 2 years now.
We brought Tevez for that.
Its this year that we had finally admitted that Saha is a waste of space.
What SAF tells the press and what is actually going on behind the scenes are rarely connected.
I'm inclined to believe that the fly in the ointment are these cnuts at Zenit, who have convinced themselves that Spurs will have the gutes of 50 million quid burning a hole in their pocket, after selling Berbatov and Keane, hence they're charging crazy money for Arshavin (a fee which put Barca off, weeks ago)
Spurs, OOH, won't sell Berbatov until they can placate their fans by unveiling two Russians, not just one.
If Fergie gave even a hint of progress in the Berba deal, then the russkies would dig their heels in and hold out for top wedge. If they think that Berbatov might stay put, then they will have to be a bit more realistic.
Anyhoo, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
I'm actually not all that arsed if we do miss out on Berbatov. I think our squad is good enough as it is, providing Saha spends a few less games on the treatment table than he did last season (which isn't a fecking huge ask, to be fair).
Get him on a Webster next year, so that we can laugh !
Dick Advocaat was just on SSN now and he said Arshavin signed a four year deal last year, so if Spurs want him they will have to pay the price we are asking.
He was pretty firm about that.
Your theory is a good one.

I don't disagree with this off hand, but how is it that you or I can tell what is happening behind the scenes in any given scenario?
SAF, like any public figure in any sort of authority, will receive press talking points and will have a framework that he answers questions within. Media manipulation is of the utmost importance in situations like these and similar ones. But we have no way of knowing about certain events if not for the media, which we have admitted are often manipulated, or else are simply liars.
My point is that all of the drama surrounding this transfer comes from such little fact and so many red herrings. Any sort of theories to explain what little we know will always be shaky, and it turns us all into gossiping old women.
People writing songs or getting tattoos because of such gossip are entirely amusing, but I wonder about the sanity of modern football.

When you look at adding the de Silvas and Passebon and probably Manucho thats adding plenty. He can feckov and stay at spuds. Save the cash and make a hard run at Benzema.
If Berbatov stays against his wishes i can see it destroying Spurs' season.
But what good will that do for Manchester United?
The thought of this over the next few days may make Levy sell him especially if the negotiation stalling is over the difference of a couple of million.
Fair enough.
I have to say, though, that Berbatov being capable of being a disruption for an entire season, should speak volumes about his professionalism. Firstly, I don't see him being such a character, although he may try his best to force through this transfer during the window. Secondly, if he was capable of something like that, I wonder if this should not calm certain people's obsession with him, especially since SAF still has a complicated ego in Ronaldo to deal with.
Good question..........MODS?Have we signed him yet?
Gosh, repeatingly pressing F5 every minute is tiring.
On another note. In terms of views, how's that counted?
If say I hit F5 ten times a day, does it count as ten views? Or does it mean the number of viewers who've ever viewed the thread?
