Am I missing an inside joke here ? Why are some posters posting up his name randomly ?

I do it too, don't know why. It just feels right because all this is about him.

And by posting only his name, you've made more sense than 90% of the posts in this thread :)

Ronaldo and Berba are not vying for the same spot. Adding Berba has nothing to do with Ronaldo, it has to do with what happens if Rooney or Tevez is injured.

And what happens when neither are injured? In Rooney, Tevez and Berbatov we'd have three £30M players, one of which will have to settle for a place on the bench. Then they start having dreams and we end up with huge boring threads again.

I'd imagine Ronaldo will leave United in the summer of 2009

Sir Alex Ferguson says he is hoping to bring some new names to Manchester United before the transfer window closes on Monday.

Dimitar Berbatov has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford as he continues to be kept on the sidelines at Tottenham because he lacks ‘focus’ according to Spurs.

Ferguson would not be drawn on the topic of Berbatov following United’s 1-0 victory at Portsmouth but he is looking to strengthen his squad.

"There's only a week to go and you start to concern yourself a little bit," Ferguson said on the club’s website.

"I think we showed against Portsmouth that we've got good quality players here.

"We'd obviously like to add to the squad and we are looking at some things.

"But it's not easy. We'll have to wait and see what happens about that. We're doing our best - that's all we can do."

real old news.

This is now officially worse than the Tevez saga from last summer! I jut start thinking he's definitely joining and we hit another snag. This transfer is 50/50. Either way its going down to deadline day.

Actually i did not. But you know what's spooky? Stam was never the same player again. He was already on the way down post injury. I couldn't discern this. SAF, at The Cliff every day, could; Blanc? He was supposed to give Rio a season of quality tuition by playing alongside him and setting his example. Not a bad move (although Rio missed much of it, but that was not foreseeable);

Hogwash. Stam was still top class at Lazio and Milan. I remember him outpacing Landon Donovan to a long ball in a Holland/US match and LD is no turtle.

Rio wasn't with United when Blanc signed on.

It will be done on Friday. In Monaco.

We will sign Berbatov. They will sign Arshavin.

No ITK here. Just complete bollox.

Berbitards.
